Paranormal Novice
So I work as a Teacher in NYC, on the way home from work last week I had a strange experience. I tried to brush it off, but keep thinking about it, so I figured I would put it out there for help on what happened, what I experienced, and if anyone else has experienced something similar:

I was on 23rd street, waiting to cross 7th ave on foot. 7th ave is a multi-lane one way street running south across Manhattan. While waiting for the crosswalk sign to change I looked north and saw a man on rollerblades speeding down the street. He was tall, black, had dreadlocks, and was wearing black jeans, a white v-neck t shirt and a necklace that looked like it was made out of solid black beads the size of 8balls. A unique looking guy, even for NYC standards, which is why I took notice. So I watched him speed south past 23rd, the signal changed, and I was on my way. I crossed 7th Ave, and About 20 seconds later, the same guy, zipped by me on the side walk going east down 23rd towards 7th Ave, almost hitting me. Same guy, same outfit, same roller-blades, same necklace, same dreadlocks. I can't wrap my head it. I saw him going south down 7th ave past 23rd. He would have had to go up 22nd, then up 7th, then back down 23rd the opposite way to pass me where he did. This would have taken way longer then the 20-30 seconds that elapsed since I saw him pass me at the corner. So in disbelief, I turned and watched him make a left at 7th and speed down the ave.
So what do you guys think? Time/Multi-verse slip? Twins wearing the same outfit, and rollerblading to meet their mom for lunch in Chelsea somewhere down 7th Ave? Or some sort of hyper rollerskating technology?

This is my first post to the forum, but I assure you this did happen.
Billy.

Kind of an odd experience, no doubt. Not sure there's anything paranormal about it, just a bit odd. Any chance at all you could have misjudged the elapsed time?

I considered that myself. I actually timed it the next day. From when the signal changed, to where I was when I saw the guy the second time took, about 30 seconds to traverse. However, there has got to be some margin of error here, because I wasn't paying attention to the time when it first happened. I could have waited up to another 30 seconds for the signal to change after seeing him, or it could have been 5 seconds. I'm not sure. Still...that is a long way to travel in such a short time (for the skater). I also thought that he might have somehow doubled back up 7th then down 23rd past me in some sort of loop without me noticing, but considering the details this seems unlikely. He was going south in the far most eastern lane on 7th...almost right by the sidewalk. It would be really tough and dangerous, though not impossible, for him to have weaved through traffic to the west side of the street, and then double back the wrong way up 7th to make the turn on 23rd....skate past me, then turn around. It would be far more likely he would have had to continue to 22nd and wait for a light change. Also why would he double back, only to loop around and continue down his original direction on 7th? I know the simplest answer is usually the way to go...so I guess identically dressed rollerblading twins is the most probable....
