Paris - A new map of the Moon has revealed an abundance of titanium ore that is up to 10 times richer than on Earth, a finding that could one day lead to a lunar mining colony, astronomers said on Friday.

Titanium is the gold that will bring humans to the moon.

They are two good reasons to go back but titanium can be used immediately where helium3 is a future need. (fusion reactors are still in development).

Best of both worlds would be setting up an extraction plant near one of those ice deposits discovered earlier. Looks like the chips are finally falling into place
