Paranormal Maven
I know this sort of thing goes on. I've personally witnessed shit-eating pigs commit atrocities. Here's one in Oakland, CA committing murder. He deserves to be skinned alive and thrown into a swamp, but he will get away with it. The dead man's name is Oscar Grant.
Land of the free. My ASS.

please keep us informed as to the outcome, i could not see any legal justification to use lethal force in that situation. im sure a judge would agree.
although there may be facets that are not clear in the video. for example did the person of interest reach into his jacket ?, or was it an honest accidental discharge.

if the latter the officer should be kicked off the force and get sued to hobo status by the mans family

having said that the person was resisting the instructions of police, and as we see thats not a safe thing to do esp if they are armed.
the degree of resistance combined with the number of officers present and the obvious control they had over the situation does NOT warrant lethal force, but resisting armed police can as we see be "risky" behaviour.
accidents can potentially happen in that situation.

are you sure the guy is dead? what are the circumstances that led up to this point?

taking a video camera when you are in public is always an excellent idea, as i understand local law you can film in a public place (there are some issues with regards to recording a conversation to which you are not a party) and police cant ask you to erase the footage only a magistrate or judge has that authority.

except in NYC. they are video/photograph nazis there.

The guy was shot and killed after he'd been restrained and cuffed.

I would wager though that the cop in question was going to taze him, and wears the gun and taser on the same hip.

You can clearly see by the body language that the cop had this look of "WTF did I just do?" when he stood up.

Not defending the indefensible, just saying that when the cop is in court on the witness stand, that's probably exactly what he's going to say.

We've got kids who quite frankly should be factored out of the gene pool just like this every day. It's a side effect of an out of control culture that we apparently need more cops in order to be safe.

I blame the kid's parents for not raising him right. If he even had parents. I'm sure they'll be coming out of whatever hole they live in to sue the police force for murdering their meal ticket, er Son...

Regardless, it's an ugliness that happened and there's nothing anyone can do to change it.

tommy i think you may have nailed the possible explanation. he grabbed the wrong gun. i wouldnt be so quick to blame parents, there has to be individual responsibility for actions that get you involved with cops, especially at this guys age.

one can only hope the inevitable coronial enquiry will identify the precise factor involved, and if warranted see to it that procedures and practises are changed to minimise the risk of it happening again.

the officer as i said should be sacked, you wouldnt want him in the locker room with a gun either

I foresee this cop killing himself over this. It will never go to trial. You can clearly see in his body language that he knew he'd screwed up badly, right in front of the other cops.

I can't tell whats going on. Seems like it might have been an accident. What's the story behind this?

Ah, nevermind, just saw the link Skunk posted thanks.
