I recently watched the Tron legacy film. I enjoyed it. I even bought the sountrack which I thought was abolutely lovely music. Offcourse, musical taste can differ and some people may thing that the music sucked.

I never saw the original Tron, when it came out in 1982 I was 12 years old and lived 100's of kilometers (in South Africa) away from the closest cinema. I do remember some screenshots from old Commodore 64 C64 and Amiga magazines.

I thought that, for 1982, the concept of living in virtual reality was so far ahead of it's time. Even my wristwatch now is more powerfull than the average tech of that time. Games that fascinated me on my old C64 when I was 13 yo is now 'boring' to my nephew.  Tron made my think of how unimagneable technolgo of the future would be. Who can guess what technological wonders lies ahead, 28 years from now. Would technology exist so that the thoeretical superstrings be proven or disproven ? Personally, I hope for some kind of FTL drive but that won't happen in my (aged 39) lifetime (If I can live another 30-35 years). More like 50-200 years from now.

I thought that the music particularly fitted the scenes brilliantly.
