True Blood

Free episodes:

Is anyone watching this on HBO? What do you think? Are you tired of hearing Bill say "Soookeh"? :p
I think the performances are quite good, however, and it is an interesting treatment of the vampire myth. Although it does seem as if everyone wants to get in everyone else's pants or whatever. :)

I love that it feels like it should be campy but they keep it dark. Nice mix of different tones & moods and the acting is pretty great--especially "Sookeh." Man, she should be the most annoying character since Urkel but she is played for realism.

That's the charm of the whole show, now that I think about it. It's absurd and it's played for realism.

I know what you mean, Valiens. One of our favorite characters is Lafayette, b/c he seems genuine....not all good...not all bad...honest in his dishonesty. I like the dark humor, too.
Lots of teeth and "parts" flying! hehehe

I really like this show, any alternate history. but I LOVE the intro song.

It's starting to grow on me, too! I read somewhere that the producers were trying to use local/regional musicians for the show's music. I thought that was pretty cool.

True Blood is fun. Interestingly (or not) the guy playing Bill also played a vampire 12 years ago or so in the BBC production Ultra-Violet.
A good short run series on Brit TV. Watch that one too. Good fun in a cops&crooks&vamps kind of way.
