Embarrassing. Pride? There's not an original thought in that design. No wonder they are left to rot.

Haha - I was looking on Google Earth at some places near Moscow and as I scrolled over an airport (not sure if military or civilian) and I saw a couple of what became to be known as 'Concordski' - the Russian rip-off of the Anglo-French Concorde.

We can definitely say they directly ripped-off the U.S Space Shuttle and Concorde, seems to be little doubt, but at the same time maybe we cannot blame them for taking an idea that seemed to work? Everything that man does with innovation is built on the shoulders of giants etc, it's just sometimes far more obvious than others.
