It seems they found out about the mineral deposits during Soviet occupation and hid that information from the Taliban. Very interesting...

So China wants in on the mining deal? No surprise there.

Hopefully this will accelerate peace in the region - Also I hope the world give IRAN some recognition for all the good work they have done for the Afghans. Look up all the infrastructure that IRAN has provided for them - puts some western countries to shame.
