I'm not sure how well it fits in this forum but how about a corporate coverup and conspiracy? The Toyota mess just gets worse.

They should extend it to all manufacturer's who blatantly ignore safety hazards until it becomes a hefty, legal financial situation.

Toyota seemed perfectly willing to let people die knowing full well their vehicles were defective. Doesn't that almost sound like premeditated murder?

They should move onto all automobile manufacturers when they're done with Toyota.

Well, the government has to make sure their "investment" in GM pays off somehow.

That's what my wife believes, that Toyota is being singled out for the same offenses as other auto makers, in order to convince us to buy American. I'd believe it more if we went after Hyundai, however, since they are the stars of the import crowd these days.
