UFO Dogfights and Stunned Journalists :)

Dear colleagues.

With the connection of Nick Pope's latest statement that military pilots have tried to shoot down the UFOs during the long history of air incidents, he was interviewed on Fox TV at January 27th.

I have uploaded the clip of the interview and you can download it here:

http://www.adrive.com/public/850f99719e7da5921c898fc8a216a128bd05d59b063e0572c4fd4c01bcfe5123.html

Take a closer look at the journalist's stunned impression as he is trying to grasp the Nick's information about UFO dogfights and famous cases from Iran (pilot Parviz Jafari 1976), Peru (pilot Oscar Santa Maria Hueartas 1980) and case from UK that become recently known after the release of the 2nd set of British UFO files (pilot Milton Torres 1957) - in the same time after Nick has mentioned "dogfights" you can also hear another stunned fellow journalist with her comment "What?" from the background.

The image of a cultural shock that worths a million words :)

Best Wishes

Giuliano

Thanks for the post.

Another jackass news team scoffs. They call that an interview? What a load of horseshit! Just more proof that journalistic bias is rampant. Though, I do have to say that somehow, Pope managed to make these two look like bafoons in that "Oh for the love of God, why is it that I have to deal with morons all the time? I guess I'll have to dumb this down for them." sort of way.

could be more along the lines of somebody (journalists, tv anchors, whatever) thinking they are going to not look stupid but will appear intelligent, so they put on the skeptic's face, and make subtle fun of what they are hearing. thereby implying they are the smart ones, and the heretofore credible witness is a dummy.

whatever. UFOs are, that is not in dispute. what they are, is the question. and I think there will be many more than one truthful answer to that question.

Lord, I hope that blond Fox bimbo is better in bed than she is on the tube - what a pair of inbred, moronic troglodytes. Bless Nick for being calm, collected and factual. He did us proud here.

I agree.

I saw this vid last week and almost posted but didnt, incorrectly assuming someone already had.

Anyway, the way Nick handled some of the trickier questions was brilliant in my opinion. He answered at one point: "The UFO subject has a sort of image problem" and followed it up with factual stories of military encounters with UFOs.

Extremely powerful message and extremely well done.

I would none the less be interested in what Mr Pope calls a "dogfight".
was he refering to just the aerial manouvers, or did the UFO's shoot back.

BTW, I realize that my last comment here might strike some as sexist, and I apologize, but for what it's worth, I typed that right after I spoke that same comment aloud to my girlfriend (she was sitting across a table from me, she heard the audio but wasn't watching), she didn't make a face at me, so there it is.

In context maybe but in principal you know the FOX execs who hired that woman did so because of and not in spite of the qualities you mentioned, so it's all good.

As for the clip, Nick does well but it's a losing battle against the "gigglefest" standard issue media response to any and every topic UFO related.

Does anyone else think there might be some utility in creating a kind of laughter-curtain video montage consisting of short segments of all these predictable roll-eyes/smirk moments?

Only if you juxtapose it with some serious, reverant story relating to religion or religious freedoms.

Although really, if you did the eyeroll montage and then asked as an onscreen question something like "Imagine if they treated every story this way?" and then run clips of some seriously bad shit (muderers, disasters, whatever) followed again by the eyeroll montage, that might wake a couple people up.

That was my first question. It's not a fight unless there is an exchange.
I have heard a first-hand tale from a man who claimed to have fired on a UFO while he was in the Navy during WW2 near Hawaii. He said the bullets curved around the object and then straightened back out after they had passed it!

yeah i tend to think a dogfight involves an exchange of fire from both vehicles, though i conceed that the term can also describe the chase aspect.
but i suspect thats the crux of the response here, Mr Pope's use of the word/s dogfight, was prob taken to mean an exchange of weapons fire, and that reality would be a very new and stunning concept for most.

You just said what we were all thinking. Nothing wrong with that.
