I feel sure I had to have missed a thread already talking about this episode, cause it was a doozy. I suggest you watch it before reading this, for pure entertainment value if nothing else. The last few episodes were pretty well handled, so I kinda figured maybe they were starting to listen to the complaints about the show… Not so much.

First off; George Knapp I recall being on the Paracast, and i seem to remember him seeming and being deemed as trustworthy and level-headed about the whole UFO, Bob Lazar and A51 thing. He always seemed to present the facts rather than give any opinion on them, you know, like a real news anchor. But in this episode he was asked by Burns if he believed Bob Lazar's story, and he said “I do”. I recall Richard Dolan also saying that he believed Lazar's story and me asking The Paracast to ask Dolan about it. Did he ever get asked, or did he ever talk about it further? I also requested that The Paracast consider trying to get Lazar on the show, was he ever considered? He’s working on home-made Hydrogen car systems now ya know.

Back to the show...So this episode they have this brilliant plan to go to Area 51 and film it and the skies around it in high definition, and you know, climb Tickaboo mountain (the famous best viewpoint of area 51). Yeah, so if the government really is hiding UFO technology at Area 51, no way would they be monitoring the crew of a History Channel show called 'UFO HUNTERS' when they fly out to the closest airport to it! And them hiking up the mountain and stopping to light a fire at its base and then climbing it with flashlights wouldn't have caught the attention of the surveillance equipment of the most top secret base on the planet! (slaps forehead) Ohhh, that's right, they might have taken a picture of his face when the day before he waltzes right up to the perimeter sign and stares down a Camo Dude!

No wait, there's more! A highly reputable pilot who flew for the CIA and whose father was a famous pilot that invented a jet was on the show! He said “I saw a UFO”, and he shows how it’s propelled by a slice of cheese that pulls space toward them and wraps it around their ship. No mention of the fact that he is now famously known to be a complete pathological nutjob of course, even by the one whom he’s talking about (Lazar). With his credentials though, I feel sure they did something to him. <o>

</o> I have to also mention the part where Pat acts like he didn’t know what the Janet was when he saw it, priceless. He shouldn’t be doing this show if he really didn’t know what it was, which he did of course, but funny stuff. <o>

</o> But all that aside, they did get some cool video of the base which I was surprised they had the nuts to do. And T.D. Barn’s info was also interesting. <o>

</o> Say what you will, but this was all entertaining to watch. My vape might have helped a bit though.<o></o>

Ok, go ahead and laugh at my tinfoil hat, but I also found it odd that this thread had 20 views within a few mins after posting it at 3am, even though the forum claims only 1 person is viewing the UFO Forum.:shy:

Most of those views are spiders and bots.

I have come to the conclusion that UFO Hunters, is schadenfreude for those who actually give a shit about UFO's.

The rest of the masses who are non-believers look at that show, and can say with all confidence that pretty much anyone having anything to do with the topic, is fucking retarded.

The Janet Terminal thing was funny, because apparently Pat either has never watched the History Channel Series UFO Files, or doesn't live where they have electricity. Every other month they show the episode with the Janet Terminal.

JESUS H. CHRIST...

To think that this show is on the History Channel, and that these people are paid to put it on, not only makes the History Channel look idiotic, but makes the TARP, and Stimulus Bills look like Money Well Spent!

I had reservations about this episode when I saw the title (watched it on Youtube) but the millisecond I saw John Lear on screen I knew it would be pure trainwreck from the word go.

If you haven't seen this episode, lemme save you some trouble: they've built a huge new hangar at Area 51 some time in the past 10-15 years. Mind you, we have no idea how "huge" because despite having figured out distance and size proportions for everything on the base THEY NEVER BOTHER TO TELL US. That's it. The only piece of even mildly interesting information and they didn't even fully report it. Everything else is old, OLD news.

Birnes made sure to get that psycho Lear on his show because I hung up on him when he brought up Lear during that episode of the Paracast last year.

Having Lear on pretty much tells you where that show's credibility is, eh?

dB

The thing is though, out of all the crap Lear speak, his Area 51 UFO sighting/Lazar story seems to me the most credible.

Not that thats saying much. But at least he wasnt talking about breathable atmosphere on the Moon and the space ship in the asteroid belt.

I wouldn't believe John Lear if he told me sea water tastes salty.

Wait, you mean it's not? We're doomed!

I was wondering the same thing when I watched, good point.

I have to admit something. I actually record those shows on Spike TV about the workds dumbest criminals or whatever. Somewhere I am sure there are a few criminal masterminds sitting around laughing about the jackass that tried to drag an ATM behind a chevy pickup truck. All the cops had to do was follow the marks on the road to their house. So, I suppose I watch that show for the same reasons I watch UFO hunters. There is just something oddly compelling about watching stupid people act as though they are not stupid.

I was actually unaware that John Lear was a nut.

I don't know anything about John. I just assumed he was the son of the guy who made the lear jet, and was a pilot. I had no idea that he was a fucking nutjob.

Birnes strikes me as being the kind of guy who will have anyone on his show, just for the fuck of it. I'm waiting for the UFO Hunters Prague edition, with none other than Kal Korff on it.

If Lear can get on the show, then what is stopping Kol. KKK?

Your right! Birnes is nothing more than a carnival barker.

Although I do watch UFO Hunters because I want to. I can't give any other explaination. And they do get James Fox and Nick Pope on there from time to time and that is a good thing.
