UFO Hunters: Giant Triangles - 3/18/09 - Bill Birnes is Burnt

Free episodes:

Miah

Skilled Investigator
Another enlightening UFO Hunters now featuring Kevin, their new Science guy. What happened to Ted?

Anyhow, Birnes said without a doubt the most ridiculous crap yet. Not that there was any credibility left to him before, but this is a new low.

The triangles are after the gold in the mountains you know. And if this guy says he saw a UFO hovering over his crick, then it must be an alien-human hybrid ship. And if the Styrofoam model glides 15ft, it must be "proof of ancient triangles". One thing's for sure, something about Mt. Shasta seems to attract nutjobs.

His best quote of the show: "you ask yourself, how could the indigenous peoples living in Columbia 1500 years ago have conceived a device like this, a gliding device? there's only one answer, which is implausible, but more plausible than anything else...time travelers"

The footage at the very end was awesome though, although most likely military.

Bill Birnes is an idiot.

That show hit a new low I didn't think possible.

To make the connection between a clumsy flying model of a piece of jewelry which is more likely a depiction of a flying fish to triangular UFOs, gold mines, time travel, etc. Argh!

Somebody slab that bitch.

I give that show a low level of credence because of the conclusions that are reached without much consideration- Several times I've seen Mr. Birnes say something to the effect of: "It can only be A or B" when other options clearly haven't been explored at all.

HISTORY channel treats UFOs as entertainment- so why should we be surprised?

I don't agree with that part, as the UFO Files was one of the best on the subject. But lately it's been real bad, and it makes you wonder if they will get complaints that will get it changed. The problem is Bill Birns specifically. And I like the guy, I don't think he means to be nuts, but he is. He has no credibility at all now, done.

But what do you folks make of the craft at the very end? It was a new piece of footage they got too late to discuss they said. I was excited by it because it was CLEARLY a craft (no balloon, camera trick, etc), it had no apparent propulsion coming from the back, and why would it have big spotlights on the bottom of it. Point being, you would first have to assume it's military, but it seems like it's using a new form of propulsion of some kind (the lights on the bottom and no exhaust). That in itself is interesting to me.

I agree that UFO Files was a good program. But I am specifically talking about the current program.

I will have to review the show again before making any sort of a lucid comment about that particular craft. What I will say about the general "triangle ufo" is that IMO they are man-made craft.

Birnes is play acting. They're doing a 'good cop, bad cop' routine with each other in an attempt to create some tension. I'm convinced Birnes is not vested in the alien theory. I was actually fine with it until he got to the gold theory: total horseshit. Good Lord, but i'll keep watching it. <sigh>
