UFO Hunters

Someone should start up a "Ghost Hunters" style UFO show.
It could be called "UFO Seekers" or "The Gray's Anatomy".
How about "The Nordics Whisperer". The research society could be called the W.U.F.O.R.C (Worldwide UFO Research Crew)!

I'm interested in seeing how this show plays out. This is because I think that MonsterQuest is actually a pretty good show, much better than I thought it would be. There are skeptical and pro points of view, and there is actual evidence being examined. DNA, photos, videos, and of course our favorite, circumstantial. I'm pretty impressed, as impressed as you can be from a major network. Although I'm a bit suspicious of the bigfoot episode with Meldrum, not that he had anything to do with it, but still, something fishy is going on there.

Anyway with it's success maybe we will get a good show out of UFO Hunters. But if it is anything like the UFO Files, I'll be a little let down. I like John Greenwald and know he can only do so much in helping produce the show, but it offers very little.

If it's on par with MonsterQuest then we should consider ourselves very lucky. I don't know how far along the production is, but this would be a good opportunity for the new UFO group proposed last episode to assert itself and recommend what should be (and especially what should NOT be) covered on this planned show.

I understand it starts in February, so I'm sure the shooting is complete. I haven't listened to the last episode of The Paracast discussing this yet, but surely it would take an ample amount of time before the group, if it becomes a group, would get any type of traction, regardless of the credibility of its members.

But I agree, there are certain cases, etc that have been beat to death and some with no potential whatsoever that should be entirely avoided.

Y'know, shows like Monster Quest would be a lot better if they ever came to some sort of conclusion.

I've seen every episode of MQ, and they always seem to make a good effort of obtaining evidence (what there is of it) and having it analyzed and such, but then they never come out and say "Yes, it's here" or "No, it's not". They start with "maybe it's out there" and after all their efforts, they end with "maybe it's out there".

I realize that one would need definitive evidence to make such a statement,
but since they never get said evidence, the show never adds up to any more then an hour's entertainment. Any UFO show I've seen turns out to be the same thing, so what's the point?

I dunno. Maybe I expect to much.

I have to agree. I always someone to say "Yes there's monsters" or "No, BUNK!!!". But you put yourself at such risk and vulnerability by doing so. I guess just for entertainments purpose it is good. And the evidence makes it interesting. I mean in the cat episode there was video evidence for a large black cat based on scale. So what do we get? Maybe theres something out there. Make up your own mind. Like that makes any difference.

I suppose if we have Greer or Horn run the UFO Hunters show then we would get the truth that yes there is something. A one armed prophet and alien babies, of course. And a push of the channel change button.

I guess you can tell why they don't come to any conclusions. And by the way just as I was liking MonsterQuest they came on with the ridiculous fish episode.

From what I can tell there are TWO shows... one on History Channel and one on Sci Fi, a kind of cousin of Ghost Hunters. I can't recall the name of the one advertised on History Channel, but I thought they were calling it something similar...
