I wonder if any of the passengers saw something. It sounds like the only information the pilot had was radar data though, so probably not.

Yeah, there was a lot of talk about it in the _Houston Chronicle_. Most people are focusing on the possibility of a shoulder-fired anti-aircraft weapon fired from heavy forest cover. Or possibly a very high-end model rocket (type O) though that seems less likely, as it requires special permits or something and is very expensive. No one's really calling it a UFO sighting.
