Seriously though, could they just be flares or fireworks? The one flare that "shoots up" clearly falls to the ground. The others could be on parachutes.
 
They look like distress flares to me. I live high above a wide bay, and have seen flares fired many times from vessels out in the bay, or by stupid hoaxers on the beach. Sometimes they ignite fully before they reach their highest point, and often appear to just blink in and out. The objects on this video behave exactly like the flares I've seen. As ever, with such videos, I'd love them to be something a bit more esoteric - but I'm afraid they just look all too familiar to me.
 
Yeah you'd think one of those speeding vehicles might slow down or stop to watch the spectacle if it was truly out of the ordinary.

Although now that I write this I realize my mom didn't and there was a craft staring us in the mush.

Agreed.

Surprisingly enough, there aren't that many that do. For every 20 videos I have seen there might be one that ends. Maybe.

Ususally, it is..cut in and lights then either short or long time filming with super unsteady camera and cut out while lights are still there. I dont buy it. I guess this is why lights, are mostly useless supposition.
