I was going to start this in the UFO section of the forum but I thought that it might sit there ignored for days on end. The story (if true) is pretty damn interesting in my opinion ... and horrors ... C2C picked it up before I'd seen it anywhere else (maybe it has just bypassed me without me realising). But ... anyway ... UFOs ... over the Pentagon ... 4th of July (!) 1949 ... 2 colour slides ... discuss:

washington seems to have had its fair share of activity back then

http://www.spartechsoftware.com/dimensions/aliens/UFOWashington.htm

whats odd about the pentagon story is that there doesnt seem to be many eyewitness , where as in the 1952 case we have

"This case is unique in that the objects were viewed and photographed by hundreds of people, including many Air Force personnel who would be considered extremely reliable witnesses"

I don't know about the image, but the "story" seems a little too made-to-order.

Bringing up UFOs around Washington, I think I heard someone on the Paracast a while back debunking one of those famous photos...I think it was the one with UFOs over the capitol building but not sure. Seems like the guest was saying something about reflections from street lights, reflecting on what I don't recall. Maybe it wasn't even the Paracast, maybe I should just hush

It could possibly be a hoax ... the 'ufos' look like 3d objects dropped onto a 2d picture and then photographed again (excuse me my photography and/or photoshop skills and language are not great :D) to me ... if that makes any sense.

I thought I would throw it in anyway and see what other more qualified people thought of it. I don't ever remember seeing any pictures of UFOs over the Pentagon before, and I thought it was unusual.

if they are genuine, it makes me wonder yet a again if they are not playing "catch me if you can" with us as a way of forcing our technical advancement.

what struck me most about the recent shoot down of a satellite, was that the subs can now carry a surface to space load out instead of loadouts designed to strike land targets.
i also wonder why on earth we would need orbital stealth fighters.

there does seem to be some reporting of UFO's being shot at by various airforces

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_Tehran_UFO_Incident

is one example

and they also seem to like to barnstorm military bases etc

id like for these to be genuine pics, another example of alien cheek

This was Macabee in his interview. About 1 hour 16 minutes in. Lens flares due to reflections of street lights. .... whatever that means.

Ok right, I think that's it. So I did hear it on the Paracast. Of course I did, I don't think any place else would have interesting info like that :)

I know jack all about image analysis.

But the shadows on the building are on the right, and quite strong (or rather the sun on the left is), while the shadows on the things in the sky, nicely angled so that they would indeed pick up some sun, are on the left.

You know, I noticed the same thing, but also knowing JACK about image analysis I felt uncertain in making that statement. But it seems the objects have sun hitting them from the right side and the building seems to have sun hitting it from the left side.
