Yeah I know :eek: ... thats what I'm doing at the moment. Have 2 left to go. One of the files is about 46 Mb in size and is about 400 pages long!! I'm going to need some more paper I think :D

More will be coming out apparently, and some people say that theres nothing behind it all, just a load of mad people and weather balloons ... hmmm who be-ith the idiot??:rolleyes:

(oh and beware there is an interview with Nick Pope downloadable from the website, and I'm sure he'll say nothing that interesting, will be a bit dull actually, but he will allude to the government being really really nice and never does anything nasty ... allegedly :P)
 
Aw, Nick Pope's alright. Leave him alone :D. I'm (re)reading his Open Skies, Closed Minds at the moment, and he hints throughout that book at the possibility that the MOD IS hiding something. But the hints are very subtle, as he was still employed by the government when he wrote it. And remember - even though he no longer works for the government, he will still be bound by the Official Secrets Act. Plus, as a mere civil servant, Pope will not have had access to the most confidential information held on UFOs. Also, he used to get very frustrated trying to get his superiors to attach any significance to the UFO issue. To him, UFOs are a clear defence threat and he's aghast at the MOD stance, i.e. that they're of no defence significance.

BTW, I got the chance to put a couple of questions to him on a podcast a couple of months ago. I asked him if he thought the MOD may be releasing the files so they could wash their hands entirely of the whole UFO thing - and he said he believes this to be the case.
 
I can't wait to get down and read these... kind of sad that after the first month you'll have to pay for them so i'm glad i ran across this thread now :)
