**********************************************************UPDATE:******************************************************************************
Brendon is back home resting up after his first round of chemo. This is very positive news. It appears that the tumor has already shrunk somewhat because he is now able to eat solid food! He sounds upbeat and positive and is working on getting his strength back and looking into various associated treatment options. He is scheduled to go into an outpatient chemo program which will commence in a couple of weeks. He wanted me to thank all of your for the tremendous outpouring of well wishes, prayers and love. We live in a world where energy definitely follows thought and all your well-wishes collectively and individually are having a wonderful, healing affect. Thank you all again so much for your kind concern and well wishes! We'll continue to keep you posted on his progress and keep those prayers and good thoughts flowing in his direction!

My brother Brendon is currently coping w/ a serious health crisis. Please, let’s all focus positive thoughts and prayers for his treatment which begins tomorrow. Please send him major positive vibes and sincere heart-felt prayers because together, we can move mountains and perform untold miracles! He is notoriously camera shy and this is one of the only photos of him I have in my computer. That’s me on the left, Timothy Good is in the middle and Brendon on the right. Thanks you so much for sending out prayers and positive thoughts for his wellness and the success of his treatment!!!

Positivity and optimism are key healing agents, especially to help work through the draining labours of treatment. Let him know that many strangers who think very highly of his brother are pulling for him to get better and work through the journey ahead.

His throat/esophagus tumor is the target of the initial chemo. It's a super, aggressive tumor that began about six weeks ago and is being dealt with as quickly and directly as possible by his team of oncologists. (The head of the hospitals oncology unit is spearheading his treatment, btw) Then, the rest of his potential cancer issues will be prioritized and treated in turn. Nothing else (To my knowledge) has been set-in-stone at this point.

In the meantime, I'm researching emerging treatment therapies that have worked wonders on patients, with help from friends that are more up2speed than I... more on these treatment approaches and his initial progress later...

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for your kind words, positive vibes and heartfelt prayers. Your kind concern means the world to me , Brendon and Jonnie! Any research data, ideas & knowledge that you can share will be greatly appreciated and put to good use!

zzzzzzzz mmmmm jeeeeeeeee (the sound of trans-atlantic positive vibes) so Chris make sure Brendon is told we are thinking for him - it is absolutely good medical practice that a positive attitude helps healing, nothing wishy-washy about it.

I'm very sorry to hear this. I will definitely be pulling out some of the big guns to send help his way.

For what it's worth, when I had a cancer scare I decided to try a herbalist (basically, a plant shaman with an MA in hospital chaplaincy) while waiting to find out from the doctors which way my life was going to go. The plant energy medicine was definitely effective, although not in a way that had anything to do with the physical situation.

A cancer diagnosis is very scary, especially if - like me - you come from a generation where people just referred to cancer as 'the C-word.' However, times have changed and to be honest most of the people I've known who have had cancer are healthy survivors, even sometimes after quite onerous treatments.

My thoughts are with Brendon.

Hi Chris,
This is my first post; Brendon is in my prayers for a complete and rapid recovery, and for no complications or side-effects from the chemo. Also, for peace and wisdom for your whole family as you help him through this crisis. Wishing you all every blessing.

Update is great news Chris. Does Brendon share any of your interests in the paranormal ? Has he ever had anything to say about your childhood experience with stick men ?

Yes he has more than a passing interest. His Blanca Pk sighting in July 1990 was the first indication I had that there were still events going on in the SLV.

Over the years he has accompanied me on countless investigations, interviews, skywatches, etc., and his Great Pyrenees dog, Kato was my lead site investigator on many 'mute' cases. Bren and I have had a number of amazing UFO sighting experiences over the years, including our first UFO sighting (w/ five other witnesses) that consisted of multiple objects cavorting high above New Paltz, NY, September 1979.

He also was involved in a notable bigfoot encounter w/ two other witnesses near Startup WA—just below Stevens Pass—in 1974. I've mentioned this event on the show several times, including this week's show w/ Linda Godfrey. As far as my 'stick men' encounter... I don't think he's ever commented on it publicly, but (like me) he has never forgotten it. It was an unforgettable experience for me and he distinctly remembers me claiming (the following morning) that it happened. He remembers how the family responded and what my sister said about it, etc.

Brendon was also was the one that reminded me of my six hours of missing time (while on a fossil hunting trip) out in the remote south-central UT desert in April 1989. That was the day before I visited the SLV for the first time. I had conveniently forgotten about the event entirely (maybe subconsciously I was in denial?) and when he asked me about it in the mid-90s it all came flooding back and I must say, it sent a chill up my spine.

That's great news that the chemo is already working, and that he can eat solid food. That alone will do wonders for his strength. His positive attitude, with the positive intents and/or prayers of the many can make all things possible. I've seen it happen. My husband is a two-time cancer survivor. Treatment (and options) are much more sophisticated and varied than they used to be. But nothing beats the "supernatural" interventions of loving intents and prayers.
Also, make sure that Jonny gets enough rest and "down-time". Being a caregiver is physically and emotionally exhausting and whether she says she needs it or not, family and friends need to uplift her, as well. So sorry if this sounds "preachy," but I've been in her shoes and I know it was the wonderful people around us that got us through.
