Yeah that video gave me a very cold feeling like ice water down the back.

i do not take the flu shot nor does my girlfriend who works at Mayo Clinic. Her doctor advised her to take it but when she asked if he took it he said no, and neither to his 3 children.

I do not get it myself and neither will my girlfriend either...
She had it once many years ago and I have never ever seen her that sick.. she was sick in bed for at least eight days and to be frank I thought she was going to die at one point.

so no way in hell am I ever getting it myself.

sorry to hear your girlfriend got so sick. I hear that a lot. My mom was a nurse and warned me about taking flu or swine flu shots... and drinking fluoride in the city water.

Yeah it was a wake up call for us both.
I am not a crazy survivalist but I do have a good survival kit setup that would keep the two of us healthy and ok for around 100+ days
Reason is if anything I learned thanks to a 7.1 and a 6.3 earthquake that you just never know when you are going to need that survival kit.

why do I say this.. to my thinking it is just a matter of when not if one of these viral strains gets out of a lab or mutates and ends up global.
I trust safety systems as far as the most lazy, stupid, or simply caviler member of any team, the weakest link rule should always be applied.

Yep you can idiot proof something but all that happens is a better idiot comes along.
