I never did get around to seeing that I did hear it was a real twist on I guess what could be called the "found footage" genre ? Or it was some kind of reality show or observational science experiment ? I imagine it's out for rental by now. That josh whedon, he is quite the visionary isn't he ?
 
It is not 'found footage' at all but has many classic themes from the genre running. It's the reason behind the whole thing that is the twist. I started to suss it literally seconds before it was explained.
Yes yes yes go and get it if you like horror. It's great!
