Well, at least I read the article. here is a summary:

Cryptic religious bull shit.

The Vatican might still have that menorah.

Cryptic alien bull shit.

The end.

Note: The menorah was taken as part of the spoils of the first Jewish War in 66-73 AD by Titus Flavian, who became emperor after his father, Vespasian died a few years later in 79 AD. The spoils of this war were used to build the Colosseum, along with Jewish slaves for the labor. You can still see a picture of it on the Arch of Titus (picture in article) which still stands at the entrance of the Roman Forum today, though badly weathered.

Consider: When the Romans grabbed their loot, including the menorah, there were no Christians to speak of in Rome, and the Vatican did not exist. Where the Vatican is now was a cemetary on the other side of the Tiber River outside the gates of Rome. The apostle Peter was buried there, but the Christian religion didn't take off until Emperor Constantine issued the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, many generations after the first Jewish War and conquest of Israel. This was just a few years before Constantine moved the capitol of the Roman Empire from Rome to Constantinople (now Istanbul). There wasn't even a church built there until 326 AD.

So, we're being asked to believe that the original menorah somehow survived 250-400 years in pagan Rome and wound up in 'the Vatican' where there was not a palace until the 5th century. Maybe it did, but more likely it was melted down to help pay for the Colosseum. There really is no established connection between the menorah and the Vatican. That's like asking you to believe King Henry VIII's jeweled dagger is stored in an underground secret vault in the Smithsonian.

As for the space alien and Ark of the Covenant connections, give me a break!

I don't get it. Why start this thread if you have nothing to say about it?

Or did you think it might be credible, but you had to wait for Shuyler's verdict before you had an opinion?
(And only after s/he has spoken do you announce you agree about the "meltdown scenario".)

There seem to be a lot of lazy thinkers here who find and post something they are interested in but want others to do the work for them. If Mike thought it interesting enough to post why didn't he take 10 minutes to do some basic research on dates etc?

Helix if you had correctly interpreted the tone of this forum you would realise that people here sometimes post something not because its compelling, but because its ridiculous.

which is precisely why i posted it in the conspiracy theorys section.

helix seems trapped in a tiny shell, unable to grasp the greater topography

The penny drops.:p

So the "CT" section is really the "Joke" section?
1) how is a stranger here supposed to know that?
2) so many, if not all, posts here are jokes?
3) why did (eg) Garath post his Woolwine stuff in the UFO section? Are all sections jokes? Is the whole site a joke? That would explain a lot. Thanks.
