I heard this old

What struck me was the tone of the segment. The earthlight explanation was only offered as a theory to explain some UFO cases, not as an offhand way to discount all of them.

Nice find.

If Travis was acting "normal" for five days, why would he not have went home or got help is what I wonder. Persinger has taken the bit between his teeth I think. The witnesses saw a craft, not just a ball of lightning.

As far as I'm concerned, it's either a hoax, or a legit encounter with something "alien".

I agree. Walton's is one of the most compelling abduction cases. Also, from what I've read, while there is something to the "earthlight" phenomena, it is by no means a solution to the UFO issue.

I actually thought his case was compelling too until I heard his brother on Jerry Pippen show. His brother thinks he(the brother) is an alien, that kind of brings the whole thing into doubt in my mind.

I'd be interested in hearing this show. How long ago was he on?

I'd like to hear or read more about Duane Walton as well. I'd did a search of Pippen's site but couldn't find anything about him. I've heard a very little bit about him before, but until I learn more, I still believe Travis Walton's case is one of the more compelling abduction cases out there.

Most of the stuff on him is buried within Travis' story. He gave some contradictory info. in regards to ever having seen or been interested in ufos.

Then there is the reported fact that he seemed chipper when Travis was gone and wasn't worried, saying they'll bring him back. Debunkers use this against the case. Kinda weak in my opinion.

It's commonly unknown it seems, that Travis FAILED his first polygraph test. He has a fair excuse though regarding being angry at the examiner. And he didn't know a word the examiner used. I've seen the examiner before and he is a real prick. Travis went on to pass multiple tests.

My apologies Paranormal, it's his cousin that was interviewed by Jerry Pippen. Not sure how I made the conversion to brother in my mind. His cousin is a real idiot, if you want to listen to him here is the link to the page, unfortunately you'll have to scroll down to find him. Jerry Pippens pages aren't the most organized. It's painful to sit through, lol. It's about three quarters of the way down the page. I do admit his cousin may just be trying to pile on after seeing how Travis' notoriety ballooned.
