Walking away announcements are annoying.

Listen, maybe this makes me a jerk I'm not sure. But, if your gonna take a break from the subject matter, just step away. There is no need to go telling the world or holding a press conference or wasting space in a thread. Just stop logging in. If anyone gives a shit they will email/PM you.

Biedny did it because he is a co-host of the freakin' show and he did it in response to a thread talking about that possibility because of things he mentioned during that weeks show. Totally Ok and appropriate and non-annoying. It could just be the mood I'm in but all this announcement of intentions to walk away is annoying.

Now if I get hate mail or "screw you" responses from those who have supposedly given up for a while how am I supposed to interpret that? Did they really mean it but are just hooked on this site like so much digital crack. OR. Is it kinda like a suicide note. A vanity call to see if anyone would try to convince them to stay?

Anyway, its just annoying.
