Oh man. I can only imagine the non existent connections and dubious conclusions the exopols are making. I shall be keeping an eye on the examiner.com truth network.

In reality its an unmanned scouting mission in preparation of a 2020 manned trip.

Incredibly exciting.

The exo-politics loons seriously need to get a life (and a nodding acquaintance with reality would be really special too).

I'm glad to see something being done, since next month will be 40 years since Apollo 11. Finding a water source would be a huge plus.

Webre is so full of crap. Even if we pretend, for a moment, that his assertions about an ET presence on the moon are correct, his pseudo-legal arguments fall flat on their butts. He totally mangles the UN Outer Space Treaty. It was mainly formulated to prevent any of this planet's states from stationing weapons of mass destruction in space, ready to attack any other of this planet's nations, and to prevent any state staking territorial claims in space. As for his reference to the Geneva Conventions - does he not realize that they were conceived to protect human rights? So even if NASA was dropping a bomb on ET - there is nothing in either the Geneva Conventions or the Outer Space Treaty, to prevent them from doing so. To quote Macbeth, Webre's rant 'is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing'.

Going off topic but...
"Its mission is to spend -at least a year in a low polar orbit approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles)-above the lunar surface, deploying seven instruments to "find safe landing sites..."

Safe landing sites? Didn't they do all that homework like 40 years ago? What's wrong with the landing sites from all the previous missions? Don't get it...

Perhaps they want to undertake a more detailed study, and explore previously unexplored regions of the lunar surface?

Webre is really, truly, completely out of his mind. That article is just over the top, and is proof that the whole exopolitics thing is a bad, bad joke, the product of delusional minds and overinflated egos. Wow, and to think that there are a lot of folks who take that moron seriously - just sad. Perhaps we need to bring this guy on the show and let him hang himself, the way Bassett did - might be slightly entertaining.

Or not.

This is just the natural expansion of the Wolfowitz Doctrine. America -- as a Superpower (notice the linguistic similarity to the word "Superhero") -- will preemptively strike the Moon. The true intention is, of course, to set up a Western-style democracy there and bring the Zeta Reticulans under the sway of pop-culture Americanism. Soon, they'll have jobs, marriages, mortgages, hot-new cars and listen to Michael Jackson...

Invasion of the Earth -- nipped in the bud.

Funny that no one raised a fuss over all of those lunar module ascent stages and Saturn S-IVB third stages that they slammed into the moon during the Apollo program to set off moon quakes to get the ALSEP seismometers a tickin'!

These people are clowns and should be treated as such!

maybe they are going to find all that elusive moon money. If they do, I sure hope they share some of that precious moon money with me.
