If it did it would be a natural mistake. I'm willing to bet the Phoenix lights incident caused some people to think they were witnessing some kind of planetary allignment. :)

But just the same thanks for posting this.

No, with the Phoenix Lights, people mistook jets travelling in formation for something else :)

I don't doubt that some of the videotaped lights were actually flares, but the large slow moving mother ship type craft cannot be so easily explained. The only thing we might have that is similar is some sort of lighter than air vehicle. That would be consistent with the seemingly silent operation and slow speed. However there are a few reports that this same object also accelerated in a manner beyond what any lighter than air vehicle would be capable of. If we count those reports as accurate, then we're no longer dealing with UAPs or unknown aircraft, but a UFO.

Who knows what the Phoenix thing was. A few years ago there was a thorough discussion in this forum about how it could be aircraft in formation, but I wasn't there and there are no good images of the event. Funny enough there are plenty of images of the flairs that people still use as an example of an actual UFO - no one thinks that was an actual UFO in this forum though since we're all pretty educated on the case here.
