Water Hole on Mars?

Free episodes:

Good pic, and it does look like water....with one exception: Going from right to left to about the three quarter mark, in the middle, the rock shadows appear to be following a small ripple, such as from windblown sand. It could be water and the transparency makes it look like sand, ....or it's just rippled sand.
Need pics from different angles.

I agree exodoc with the sand idea. I looked at this on a better monitor and it doesn't show any signs of a liquid. What we are seeing is shadow. The atmosphere of Mars should not be able to support water in a liquid state unless they lied about that. Ice maybe.

I can't find the original JPL image so its not verified yet. If you have a ton of time to spare maybe you can find it. who knows

I noticed the undulations too - the portion to the left does look like a water puddle but if it's the same as the stuff to the right, I think it's just sand in shadow.

Having said that Ryan, 10/10 for trying. I'll look at a million mars images in the hope of finding one with something obviously weird so I salute your contribution. A big part of why I return to the forum are these kinds of things that members put up for other members to comment on.

If you google this SOL107-109

you get the general original sheet

I just have not had time to look through it.

Of course it could easily be something that isnt water
Its easy for our eyes to be fooled by shadows and colors.

it may be nothing
