Chis and I wear many hats. As he tries to deliver the cutting-edge guests that you do not hear on other paranormal shows, along with doing amazing research to put things together, I'm trying to produce this and my tech radio show (including post-production), book other guests, work with the network — at last — to try to generate some income from that source, not to mention promote the shows in the social networks and to potential sponsors and affiliates.

It's a lot — probably too much — and there's no way for us to do everything well. I am not a salesperson and do not play one on TV and radio. It's not my thing, yet I have no choice but to keep trying, and that I do not achieve decent results is a testament to my shortcomings in this field.

So what's the deal?

In order for The Paracast and The Tech Night Owl LIVE to really move forward, we need an evangelist. We need someone who can boost the shows to listeners and potential affiliates, help us devise promotional plans, find new opportunities, set up special events and, just as important, find paying sponsors.

People expect to be paid, and I'm prepared to work out a generous commission to anyone who might come on board. This is the person we've needed for years, and we need that person yesterday.

If you are that person — or know someone with the proper sales and marketing experience to make things happen now — open a private conversation with me and let's get moving. Suggestions are welcomed. It's a sure thing the current setup cannot continue.

I wanted to update you on this. I have been trying for several years to find the right person to take The Paracast and The Tech Night Owl LIVE to the next level. But applicants are few and far between. Even when I hear from people who might be interested, there's never a follow-up after I send a response for more information. This is sad. You'd think in this economy talented people would be jumping at opportunities of this sort.

If anyone has a suggestion on getting the word out to potential candidates, please let me know.

I really don't see anyone even contemplating this because of a very pronounced and heavy elephant, nay, mammoth in the room. Reputation counts for something, and should. The show to be "boosted" needs a sterling reputation, but that hugely tusked and very hirsute mammoth who can't be named sits there immovable.

This is silly, as silly as your claim that Ray Stanford's material is "hogwash."

Because there are a few people out there who don't like the show, or me, or Chris, and spend loads of time trashing us doesn't mean we don't have a pretty good reputation as one of the best shows of its type out there. Everyone with a public profile has critics, and if you looked for "Apple sucks" online, you'd find the world's largest tech company has a mixed reputation.

Indeed, one job of the evangelist would be to make sure the truth is placed ahead of the silliness.

But if you're not volunteering, please don't be part of the problem, OK?
