Website that lists UFO field Charlatan's

Free episodes:

Skilled Investigator
Who is in for a website that chronicles a database of UFO field liars, and fakers.

Simply if you were to list an offender you could provide facts figures and statements made by the offender that do not hold water. And make it easy to read kind of like wikipedia perhaps maybe a little different.

similiar to UFOWatchdog but more extensive and current.

any takers?

Oh I am, totally. I can't imagine not having one. We really need to produce some sort of permanent record to prevent people in the future being taken in by these crooks and scammers, and having as clean a field for them as possible. I'm pretty astonished that noone (apart from UFO Watchdog of course) has sat down and tried to put some sort of database together before. (oh I know: time, money etc etc etc).

Well I'm up for it. If you need any help, I'll do what I can. I live at the ends of the Earth in New Zealand ... but I'll do what I can :)

Best wishes all for the New Year.

Hope you like dealing with morons. Royce used to get a lot of moronic hate mail. Had to deal with a lawsuit and other headaches. The pay off wasn't worth it, so he quit.

Are you asking for help in building a website Cyber? Contributing info?

Me too (ends of the Earth in NZ and I'd be glad to help). I'd offer to provide the site but I've just had to cancel my web hosting (loss of employment + #@!! landlord = no money)

Before doing that, check the host whose ads we run. Not only do you get a really low price with lots of features, but it gives us a nice commission. You can also check our sites to see how well they perform.

Why not make it a multi-author blog, so it could be a collaborative effort? I have a few blogs, and use Blogger for hosting/publishing, but I use my own custom domains rather than the free blogspot.com addresses.

If you do set up a site, be aware that if the site is a .com domain that you own, all your personal details (name, address, phone number, etc) will be available to anyone who does a WHOIS search on your domain. It could open you up to all sorts of abuse from Bill Knell types, so it might be best to use a business address, P.O. box number, or similar.

I tend to use wordpress for my bloggy, I just pay for extra space and custom CSS. I also have my own URL pointed at it.... does the job for now.

Something like the hosted version of wordpress would likely be better for a multi author blog as it would be easier to customise I believe.

Actually most domain registrars offer private registration, so you can keep from getting spam offers and such. Check out our domains and you'll see how it works. For some registrars, it's free. Others charge extra.

Ah - thanks, Gene. It must be different for US citizens. When I wanted to register a .com domain a couple of months ago, I was made aware that my details would be available to all and sundry - perhaps it's because I'm not in the US.

That depends on whom you select as registrar. I know one of the hosts we advertise on the site, 1and1, is a huge international conglomerate with branches in many countries. Of course, if you click on their banner here and place an order, we get a piece of the action, and you can check to see if they can give you private registration.

Yeh, I almost mentioned wordpress. I heard a lot of good things about it.

Here's one of Paracast sponsors.

I copied the url from the banner so the referral code should be there.

Sign me up, i might be able to lend a hand, im no web development guru, but i can get my head around most coding & database systems.

Here's a less whining, childish, and more pro-active approach: why don't you create a website that showcases all the great ufologists you admire - assuming you admire any.

His page will be teeny tiny and hardly worth making if he does that. I noticed your last remarks. Yes, remember you put that there for a reason. A good one too.

i think its a marvelous idea,
we need a bio on each faker with a list of the specific BS they peddle, and even a BS rating from 1 to five cowpats............
with he who shall not be named getting 5 cowpats straight off the mark
