Yeah, it's pretty cool looking.

My best non-expert guess (and only a guess) is that it's an intrusion of a volcanic glass that eroded more slowly than the surrounding rock layers. Hopefully, the Curiosity team will get a close-up look at it and zap it with their Chem Cam laser.

The mars item definitely looks out of place. Of course, so do some natural terrestrial formations. Is it metallic or crystalline ? Let's hope NASA plans to take a closer look at this one.

I wonder if the thing is just some kind of mother-of-pearly effect? There are plenty crystalline type things in our rock strata that can reflect light in such a way.

There is no doubt there seems to be some really un-natural looking objects on Mars, I find it most intriguing, I have seen much to absolutely convince a skeptic but that bigfoot type figure, I mean, come on - it looked like a hairy creature sitting down for fuck sake!

Were is Hoagy? He sure is silent. If Hoagy was involved I would dismiss it. But since Hoagy isnt and Basagio isnt that is making me more interested.
