Dear Doug McCrevice,

Welcome to The Paracast Community Forums!

We welcome you aboard, and hope that you'll have a great time here with our community as well.

I am a refugee from the advertising business, and a member of a paranormal investigation group in Denton, Texas. We've investigated hotels, wineries, homes of school teachers. My pet peeve is people who know just what causes paranormal phenomena. It has to be caused by deceased people, of course. Why would you assume that? To bring a conclusion to an investigation is just dumb. How about if we just go where the evidence leads us? I suspect the truth is far stranger than we can even imagine.

Things I'm wondering about today:

Is the vast, expanding universe spanning billions of light years really there or is it merely a set?
Are "extraterrestrials" really just us from the future?
Is the Earth just somebody's ant farm?

Good comment. Have you heard the Barry Taff show? I'd like to see your thoughts on his theories.

I was impressed with Dr. Taff. I thought he was spot on regarding many things—including his idea for a show called "Bimbo Babe Ghost Hunters." ;-)

I think Dr. Taff is the real deal, and I definitely want to get the book.

I suspect that he's right about people being the ones who are haunted in a large number of cases. I've been involved in cases that I suspected were connected directly to the person involved. Then again, we investigated a hotel where one of our team members was attacked (he described it as "being punched in the face" and it left a visible scratch down his face) where there was clearly no connection to who he was but he just happened to be in the phenomenon's sphere of influence—room 1008. I have no experience with Poltergeist cases. I would have to "strap myself in" for one of those. The first time I saw a pair of scissors fly across the room, I think I'd have to have a "gut check." 8-/

I'm very curious about paranormal territoriality. Why do phenomena congregate around a spot or a specific room? If these are entities and not merely echoes of something that either happened or will happen in another time, why do they stay stapled to one spot? Maybe they're largely immobile, like a tree. Man, wouldn't that suck?
