Dear ottoatom,

Welcome to The Paracast Community Forums!

We welcome you aboard, and hope that you'll have a great time here with our community as well.

Thanks Gene,

I discovered your show a few weeks ago and I must say it was a good surprise. I was looking for some radio that would talk about ufos and other paranormal cases that I find interesting but was afraid to find only shows that would just repeat crazy stories without even questioning their authenticity. I was glad to find the paracast radio.

I am French and Portuguese and am living in London currently but have lived in Lisbon, Portugal most of my life. I have always loved paranormal, specially UFOs. What really hooked me to it was a movie called "fire in the sky". Even if the movie story is based on a somewhat doubtfull "true life story", I love the concept, the sci-fi art, the acting, etc.. Unfortunately some recent Hollywood teenage drama movies killed paranormal themes for me like magic, vampires, werewolf and whatnot.

My birthday was last week and made it to 34 so I am not a kid anymore. Most stories that I enjoyed when little, today feel somewhat doubtfull to say the least. But I have still a strong belief in life outside our planet and would like to get to know people with the same kind of maturity that I have regarding the subject and debate about it a bit. I don't think I am a major sceptic about it but strangely I feel today I am more of a Scully than a Mulder (and no, that doesn't include a sex change operation). An alien from a planet a thousand light years away isn't an automatic choice to explain that spec of light that I see in the sky. Also, like many Mtv generation young man, I know Photoshop and after effects pretty well so to my own sadness I can say that most of the ufo related videos I have seen on youtube are fakes.

Well, I think that's it for now. Cheers to you all,
Ottoatom
