Dear Smitty in Atl.,

Welcome to The Paracast Community Forums!

We welcome you aboard, and hope that you'll have a great time here with our community as well.

Hi, folks.

I'm a long-time (4 years?) listener and love my weekly Paracast listen. Normally I listen as a podcast on my commute to/fm work. I've sampled many different radio shows through podcasts and must say that Gene not only manages to develop a compelling show most every week, but the level of professionalism and high production values never disappoint.

About me? I'm a young 40 years old, married for 20, an Army vet and currently work for the federal government in a scientific capacity. I have two seemingly alien lifeforms living with me (my sons, aged 5 & 8) and count myself blessed to be an American.

Most recently, I purchased the book Rise and Fall of the Nephilim after listening to the show which featured the author.
I don’t know that I would describe myself as a skeptic *or* a paranormal Kool-Aid Drinker™. Although I have read all the required reading (Stanton Friedman, the recent book about Betty & Barney Hill’s interrupted journey, Chariots of the Gods, and Whitley Strieber’s non-fiction), I still find myself at odds with enjoying the wonder of the unknown and needing just a little bit more evidence. While at the same time holding my spiritual upbringing very important to me.

I guess you’d call me an open-minded pragmatist. I’ve been meaning to participate in the Paracast forums and I look forward to getting to know you folks better.

I would love to learn how I could assist Gene and Chris with the show in the future.
