I would just like to be selling metal detectors in the UK right now.

I saw that story earlier today, and it's amazing. The photos are not to be missed.

I'm not sure how they handle that. It's such a large find i would guess they would have something to say.

Looks like it will be Auctioned off, but the money get's split.
It is classed as treasure trove.

I think it would be classed as treasure trove and that means it now belongs to the crown. Mixed feelings about that but it does keep it in the country. The finder would be paid out some sort of reward as well as the land owner.
Huh, land owner always sounds wrong to me, more like borrower.
