I gave the guy a chance. That time is over. Obama is just another wicked little monkey dancing to the tune of the Evil Establishment's organ-grinder.

I don't think he's by any means a "wicked little monkey": that's a childish oversimplification. To judge a person's character and intentions you have to look at the overall pattern of behaviour. In Obama's case I am inclined to trust his intentions to the extent that I would with any politician, but faced with difficult choices (and not actually being an absolute ruler) some of the decisions he makes on the basis of perceived expediency are disappointing. There is a small group of prisoners who clearly do represent a threat, are almost certainly guilty of serious crimes but who could not be brought to trial - in many cases because the case against them is tainted by torture. In such cases there is no legal basis for continued detention - but there is the political fallout and real fear of future criminal activity on a large and murderous scale if he releases them.
I think his decision in this case is pragmatic and based on genuine concerns, but wrong.
If you have indefinite detention without trial you don't really have a system of law: one of the many causes of the French Revolution was that nobles could obtain against anyone lettres de cachet, which authorised that person to be detained indefinitely at the king's pleasure without trial, charge or evidence. Same thing in other words. Such practices can't coexist with a functioning system of justice.

Yeah, overall, I think his character and intentions suck.

"There is a small group of prisoners who clearly do represent a threat."

Yeah, I call them Americans.

True, I believe.
I strongly fear a violent civil uprising. I do not want to see that go down here, but this is precisely the kind of shit that will incite such actions. If one pokes at an angry dog they should expect to get bitten.

Obama's election win seems to have spurred a conspiracy nut frenzy.
There is a lot more involved than Obama's election. Are you a nut-hater? I think that's a crime now.

More than meets the eye. Kinda like the Transformers. Same factual content only not as entertaining.

Hopefully with less explosions than Michael Bay's version.

No one said Rachel Maddow was a conspiracy nut. I simply stated Obama's election win has conspiracy nuts crawling out of the woodwork.

Why is this a conspiracy?

Well, the thread begins with a report by her so... I dunno, guilt by association? You're right though, if they're telling you what they're doing right to your face, it really can't be considered a conspiracy.
