I've just recently discovered the Paracast and I like the attitude Gene and David take towards the topics. Having never seen a UFO of any kind, I would like to know where to go to see the best photos and videos that are definitely not not fakes.

Thanks

Hello and Welcome.

I would say that your best bet is to access the archives here (both forum and show audio) and try not o focus on images or video. These, while interesting, do not in themselves convince anyone of anything. The real answer is that a photo can only be determined not to be faked. The object can be shown to be real, but what it is or is not will always be in question. Personally, i like the cases of physical evidence, multi-witness sightings, or radar/visual reports.

But, if it is video and images you want, the archives can provide that as well.

I pity anyone who seeks to get serious info on UFOs, as the S/N ratio on the Internet is really low.

Having said that, here are some hints:

1/ TEXT UFO Briefing Document - The best available evidence by Don Berliner (1995). Financed by Laurance Rockefeller, roughly 1,000 copies of this 168-page document were delivered in 1995 to President Clinton, U.S. Congress, Heads of State and other potentially influencial people around the world (also available as mass paperback edition from Amazon)

2/ VIDEO Documentaries by independant producers, e.g. recent one called "Top 10 Best UFO Evidence" by Canadian filmmaker Paul Kimball. He has uploaded several of those to Youtube e.g.

Finally, shameless plug. I have prepared a set of webpages about UFOs, where I've put the material I would PERSONALLY have liked to have found on the Web, when I started my journey to learn more about the UFO subject 2.5yr ago.

UFO Summary - mostly introductory stuff, old photos
UFO Tech overview - more detailed view, newer photos

I looked for answers in the work of people with background in the physical sciences and have not considered the more fanciful stuff, like "alternate planes of existence" or NewAgey stuff etc so YMMV

That is indeed probably the question for the ages. What UFO Case has the BEST evidence.

Evidence comes in many forms.

Physical Evidence, Is rarely found. When it is found, it's usually chalked up to some other kinds of phenomena.

Photographic evidence, is often sketchy at best. You never know if you're getting the real deal, and even on the best days, it's usually labeled as inconclusive.

Eyewitness testimony, Sketchier still. Every once in a while you get someone who is genuine.

It's a tough call to say the least.

What about Paul Kimball's documentary "Best Evidence: Top 10 UFO Cases"? You could always start there...

Oh, skunk. No you di-uhnt!
Sorry, I was in a wise-ass mood. The first case that comes to mind is the Colares, Brazil flap from 1977.

Going through those reports again I saw a drawing that caught my attention. This was before my first major sighting, so I wasn't looking for UFO's. I saw, in broad daylight, what appeared to be a silver hot-water heater descend into a residential area. I remember telling my girlfriend that I saw a really weird balloon. She looked at me like I was a little off when I described it. This drawing is very similar to the shape I saw.

It's can be hard to point to a specific "best case".

Out of those I can think of at the moment; I have found the Japan Airlines flight 1628 case impressive.

The best case (partially due to who's doing the analysis of it) is probably buried in James E. McDonald's work somewhere, though it can be difficult to sort through or even find his work. James E. McDonald was the pinnacle of intelligent minds in UFOlogy IMO. But much of his work is not light reading. It's like reading a physics book.

Thanks for all of the answers. I'll be checking some out today while I'm bored at work.
Also, I already know about Billy Meier. He's great. I send him money and he provides me with great evidence on UFOs. I just wanted other interesting cases :)

I must warn you that Billy Meier is officially thought of as a fraud here. Any show discussing him makes that readily apparent

Please check out Bruce Macabee's photo analysis website Dr. Bruce Maccabee UFO Research Website and the best UFO documentary (IMO) James Fox's "Out of the Blue".

I want to believe that you're putting us on here.

If not, go away, and don't come back.

If you are, hell, see previous sentence.

On second thought, maybe this whole thread needs to vanish.

Either way, it's now locked. No more entries.
