I dont want to get into the whole Drone Real/Hoax Debate, but I certainly dont think that its the worst hoax of 2007. It looks like a lot of work has gone into the whole thing and while it doesnt fit in with anything else RE the UFO phenomenon, it has certainly got a lot of people interested in the whole UFO/ET/Unexplainable scene.

If I had to put my finger on the worst hoax, it would be the Haiti UFO footage found on Youtube. It was quickly debunked and dissapeared as quickly as it arrived.

Secondly, the eclipse footage taken certainly looks like a case of mistaken identity. One of the pieces of footage is starting to look very much like a power line splice and matches such an object on the property where the footage was taken. The other item of footage looks very much like leaves and branches. As i said, not hoax, but mearly mistaken identity.

I think the drones rate high on this list of notable offenders. Of course, there are the long-standing hoaxes in the field, but I prefer to forget them.

Hoaxters and their hoaxes do nothing to help the field at all.... it wastes a lot of time and energy, and puts doubts in the minds of those who are researching credible events. Why do they do it?

I must admit to being interested in the drone story and it was because of that story that I found "the paracast", Openminds Forum, ATS and a few other. Ive always been interested in such things, but never seriously looked into it on the web.

Mistaken identity can be forgiven, but hoaxes..... thats a different story.
