I'll never forget being in third grade and reading about Doug and Dave, the crop circle makers in the Weekly Reader. Always thought it was a bit strange that they would address a paranormal topic like crop circles in a paper meant for elementary school students. After all, I didn't even know what a crop circle was until I read the article. Seems a bit strange. I also remember them talking about how by the time I was old enough to go to college we'd all be traveling via Jetpack. Boy did they fuck that one up.

What I mostly remember about it was referred to in the story. the teachers would hand them out after 3 in the afternoon, that meant one sure thing to me, the weekend is about to hit.
