When was the last time you saw a phone booth?
Rikki forgot her cell and we looked for a pay phone. I learned the last pay phone in the city was removed 4 years ago!
When was the last time you saw a film camera?
Our local walgreens stoped selling film and the film prossing center closed 2 years ago..

When was the last time you saw a tv screen signal slowly fade away after you turned it off ?
This happened rather dramatically three month ago to the tube set in the bedroom and I haven't seen it come on again since. I get a lot more sleep and piece of mind, but I sure do miss Kodachrome 64 slide film.

I don't know if this counts, but I live across from a spot where each year they hold a classic car auction, and this year as I was driving my 2007 Buick back from the store, when something resembling a restored stock version of a Model-T Ford or similar vehicle of that era passed us going the opposite direction, and the driver and passengers were also dressed in period clothes, something like this photo:

you might be interested to know that i use a polaroid style camera where i work for my passport photos. Younger people are utterly charmed by it, maybe like they would be by a 78 lp...there is a cvs next door to us that shoots passport photos and i am constantly reshooting pictures that was done there because people don't like the way their digital photos look, but that's probably more to do with inferior lighting than the actual camera. We have to order the film from Fuji because Polaroid doesn't make it anymore. There is an older German guy that lives around the corner from us that knows how to repair polaroids but i think we have needed to see him only 2x in about 20 years.

i hope you got some closure and got to tell it how you felt before it expired :)
It was a sudden abrupt break, but I knew it was coming, so I visit the dead frequently with a carousel of 144 slides pulled from the past to display their archival colour glory every now and then.

I have, however, kept two 16mm projectors for safe keeping and eBay supplies me with a steady stream of celluloid hits for my summer addiction.

When's the last time you saw a 16 mm projector in operation?
