This guy is annoying he even got on UFO Hunters. Using what clearly look to be balloons he flys up.

Might be a nice change of pace to have a debunker on and make them look like an idiot for a change. Maybe invite Don Ecker back (twist his arm) and get Shermer, Joe Knickels, or Seth Shostak on for a debate.

I would love Shermer or Nickels to come on and explain to David what he saw during his encounters. Or that he is delusional. That would make for an interesting conversation. (If it lasted any length of time)

There are so many frauds in this business that if Gene and David were to make it their life's mission to roast every one of these people on their show, they would never have time to actually get good guests on.

Seriously. The fraud is so rampant in the UFO community, that it's starting to make the banking community look honest.

The worst thing about the UFO community right now, is the fact that it seems to be gaining momentum, and more and more of these baby boomer generation fraudsters are ramping up the rhetoric in order to maximize the amount of money they can graft out of this medium.

I listen to Gene and David because they offer a more intelligent, and higher quality show that actually asks questions of the guests who come on there. I tried listening to George Noory the other night and after 10 minutes I was done. I found that the only Art Bell stuff I can stomach, is from the 1990's, when they replayed some of the stuff from 1997. Go figure.

I sincerely wish that the new further generations of UFOlogists turn out to be steeped in reason, as opposed to fraud, because if there ever is a day of disclosure, there's going to be a need for honest answers instead of the obfuscation and utter bullshit we seem to be getting more and more from those who are purported to be "In The Know."

I would like to see Knapp, Lazar, Friedman, Gene and David on a roundtable.

I've mentioned Knapp and Friedman to discuss Lazar before too. There's some loose ends that I would like tied with Lazar's story. Doubt Lazar would come on. And Stan and George have a friendly disagreement on the matter. They don't debate anymore on the subject. Unless things have taken a dramatic change recently. I'd still like to see it though. Er, hear it.

I came across this thread which reminded me of something that happened with Mike Shermer and I several years ago.

I know Prof. Scott Littleton and for three years while he was still teaching at Occidental College, would have me come in and address his students.

Over the years I have debated numerous skeptics (Jim Oberg, Phil Klass, Curtis Peebles, well you get the idea) and Scott asked me if I would mind also debating Mike Shermer in front of the students. I said sure, I knew Shermer and actually helped launch his foray into UFOs. Years ago he first appeared on my old radio show UFOs Tonite. It was his very first public UFO thing, and before the show began he asked me to please take it easy on him as he didn't yet know a lot about the subject.

So, I am at Oxy College with Shermer, Littleton is the moderator and the conversation drifted to Phil Corso and "The Day After Roswell."

Now, regardless of your feelings about Corso and his book, I knew Corso by reputation (before he wrote his Roswell book) from his testimony before Congress on MIA/POW issues. I knew Corso (from that) to be a straight shooter.

So, Mike Shermer took off after Corso calling him delusional, a fraud, you know ... all that stuff. That pissed me off and I happened to have a copy of Corso's book with me. (And I knew the contents very well.) I asked Mike Shermer a number of pointed questions and he could not answer them. I then pulled the book out of my briefcase, slammed in down on the table and demanded he tell me when he had read the book. The room full of college students were on the edge of their seats (and Shermer was and is a science proffessor) and he had to admit he NEVER READ CORSO's book! The room full of students were stunned ....

Scott Littleton had arranged a lunch after the debate so Shermer, I and my wife and Dwight Schultz could have lunch with Shermer and we could all chat and decompress etc. Shermer stood us up. That told me all I needed to know.

Whoa... You went to lunch with Dwight Schultz?

Shermer is a smarmy assclown. Although I agree with him on some things, his attitude and lack of intellectual honesty at times puts me off.

Here's another dickhead that should be gone after. James McGaha. That fucking idiot needs to be shown the door by the UFO community. He is the stereotypical clown that thinks because he owns a telescope, he knows what every object in the sky is. I assure you, he does not.

I'd like to see what his REAL credentials are. Every time there's an event, they parade that idiot out there as the skeptic, and of course, it's always military flares or some other contrived horseshit.

I saw him on Larry King. He was a bit of an asshole with the other guests. Yes, a lot of stuff can be attributed to conventional objects, but when you have guys that work at a military base, they can tell the difference between police lights and something else.
