Why no claim on the Amazing Randi's $1,000,000 offer?

Free episodes:

Creepy Green Light

Paranormal Adept
You would think with all the "psychics" out there and on TV regularly, that SOMEONE would claim Randi's $1m offer. How come nobody claims it? You would also think that if that's what you did for a living, that you would sign up to prove it and get an easy $1m.

I sell advertising for a living. It'd be like someone saying "prove to me that you can sell a $3000 per month ad with a 12 month minimum over the phone with never even meeting the owner/marketing manager face to face." I would think, "Really? That's all I have to do? Easy. Done." And do it under controlled conditions where it is validated.

Why that offer just sits there while meanwhile there are all types of psychics on TV, some of which have their own TV shows, is beyond me....unless of course the answer is obvious; they're all frauds.

All the challenges seem to break down when both parties can't agree to the testing protocols. I do wonder about Randi having $1 million stashed away for this challenge. Randi is about as slippery as they come.

I've yet to hear something Randi proposed as a control that is unfair. It's always on the side of the psychic. It's like when Uri Gellar got caught off guard on national television on Johnny Carson. Miraculously Gellar couldn't perform any of his tricks.

This is old news.

As is this: "The James Randi Educational Foundation's Million Dollar Challenge has been terminated."

So why do we need to discuss it any further?

Whereas for many this may fit into the “woo” category, this is my semi-informed, and most humble opinion, FWIW:

Law enforcement, and the military in various countries have for decades occasionally utilized psychics with some degree of success.

My question here is; if these allegedly gifted men and women were/are frauds then why haven’t they been prosecuted by their very own employers, as fraud is not to be taken lightly.

Furthermore, why would law enforcement agencies in various countries continue in utilizing these frauds/individuals? Surely, all in law enforcement can’t be imbeciles…, or, can they?

Have their employers been duped, or, could there possibly be something to psychic ability, as there is no immediate shortage of cons, hoaxers, frauds, and charlatans most everywhere out there in UFO & paranormal land.

BTW, if anyone has the chance.., view the feature documentary about James Randi, entitled; An Honest Liar, as Uri Geller sets the bar extremely low.

Whether the program was terminated or not - it's still a valid question. Then I'll change my question to "How come for thirty years, while the program was active, nobody claimed the prize?"

I think it's more about the standards Randi used to receive that award. Some regard them as too stringent to even bother. It may also be about the subjectivity of the decision. At the end of the day, some feel it was rigged against ever being collected. But I'll let the reader decide.

From what I understand, there's not one case on record that a psychic solved for law enforcement. If there is, I'd like to hear/see it.

I'm not saying that it's impossible for someone to have true psychic abilities. It just strikes me odd that a guy has been offering a million dollars if you can prove it and nobody could. Again, you'd think if the task is something you do every day of your life, that it'd be a snap to do for a million bucks.

You make a good point there. I would think that if someone had achieved real success, they'd be able to present law enforcement officials to confirm their results. The usual excuse is that they are too embarrassed to admit they went to a psychic to solve a crime.

Another thing that I was shocked about was the scam/infiltration that Randi pulled off on that one university (I believe it was a university). It's where he had two people infiltrate the group for months and conned them into thinking they had supernatural abilities. Then finally admitted the entire dept. had been duped. The entire story was pretty amazing.

As you should know, I wasn’t speaking of Randi, or, Geller, per se. Also, I’m fully aware of the definition of insanity, in which after decades, law enforcement, and the military must certainly be guilty of.

For those who recall..I had 2 encounter with Sylvia Browne. She was nothing more than a poor cold reader. She was nothing more than a con artist. Love him or hate him randi preforms a vital task..simple no pne has won the challenge because no one has them claimed abilities. I have a standing remote viewing test that gene and goggs bolth know the targets to. A great claim require great proof.
