World in Economic Depression?

Free episodes:

Well, China certainly isn't. But all westernized countries are in hot water. All of them are deeply in debt, nearly 16 trillion here (And that's just our government. The private sector is in debt to the tune of 50 trillion), and it ain't gonna' get any better because 50% of people in those countries are pressuring their representatives to spend even more. Will all collapse eventually, question is when.

could not agree more Sean .. but China will come down with the rest in the end as it needs the west to buy its cheap products and if the people in the west have not got the money then China has a problem as well.... the whole world is on an economic knife edge .. one slip.. and ouch.

China has a double whammy as it doesnt have the land to feed its population, its currently buying farmland in other countrys , but when the money stops flowing that option goes with it

They also do not have or produce the primary good needed in many cases for the production they are doing. So they are in just as much trouble as the rest of us are.

Oh and GROW YOUR OWN FOOD ... lol all I just had to say that... I am home today and there is far to much rain.... I want to sort a new section of garden out so it has time to settle before planting but it is just far to wet to work on it.

one thing that doesn't get mentioned enough regarding china is their infrastructure which is for do-do. they were in such a big rush to show the world they can have modern bridges, dams, railways, olympic stadiums and other nicieties, they kind of glossed over the part where these things were supposed to last, it seems only now they're starting to get serious about it and not being an economist i can't really say how it would play out but i hope they have been saving up because western people will be buying less and less chinese made products, they've been counting on that too long and have to start re-evaluating their economic model and enrich their own people to buy their own products, still a pretty big gap in incomes.

This why land grab is moving at a extreme rate for food due weather changes. Always reminds me of Mr Ingo Swan lectures on the net regarding 2012-13 was he onto something ?

He could have been.

The weather here has been insane of late .. I hope we are not getting all the rain we would get during summer now.. My garden will not be happy as I grow a large amount of my own food now.
