Yahoo News: Britain releases UFO docs...

Thats the beauty of it, the guy flying the plane doesnt "fire" at anyone, though it might be his finger squeezing the trigger.
if you really look at the whole scene the fighter plane is built NOT too fight, thousands of hours these planes spend up there never shooting anything, it is expected that each time one lands its ammo load is the same as when it took off. there are protocols where the pilots can decide for themselfs if they shoot at something, but thats way down the list. usually the directive (as was the case this time) comes from somewhere else. the unit in the seat isnt responsible for any destruction hes just following orders. in the big picture he isnt any more responsible than the seat hes sitting on.
and yes i would do it , i would have to trust my superiors were acting on knowledge greater than mine and that it was necessary for the protection of all the butchers , bakers and candlestick makers going about their lives below, and who's taxes pay for the plane im in.

and personally, i like the idea some arrogant ET pilot whos decloaked and teasing the aborigines, gets the shock of his life when DU slugs start tearing up its craft. from a military pov testing various munitions against these "targets" prob seems like a good idea.

That's the spirit, Mike...I can get on board with that. Not sure who I'm trying to kid...I grab a shotgun at the first sign of anything strange. I'm sure if I saw a spaceship over my place I'd let'em have some buckshot.

U.S. pilot was ordered to shoot down UFO - Yahoo! News

I don't think I would have the cajones to fire on one of those things. Seems like taking a knife to gun fight to me.

Do you know what, i think we might have our reasons to shoot down the "ufo's". While i dont fully trust the military to make the right decisions on our behave, i think they might have more knowledge on the subject, than we care to think.

Maybe Reagan let than cat of the bag with his statement to the "UN" . Reagan wasnt a great president, but he wasnt the worst president America had either. Some of the stories you hear seem to give the impression, to me at least, that this entitys are not here visiting us as equals, more to use us somehow in some type of game, in exactly what type of game, is anyones guess.

I sometimes think we may be in a situation like Orwell's "Animal Farm", but the human masters try their damndest to remain hidden...and they may not even be human. You can't overthrow'em if you can't see them. If this is the case, I hope I get the role of Benjamin..."Donkeys live a long life."
