You've heard of these types of energy devices over the decades and none of them have panned out. Unfortunately, I would guess this would be the same.
They say that it creates more energy than it uses. That is flag number 1. Surely I would be astounded, and of course elated, if such a device would work, but, ..... can't say I'm optimistic. And I hope they prove me wrong. My guess is we hear nothing more about this contraption.
I posted this clip on the "World Without Powerlines" thread. Sure would be cool if it works. I'll remain open. There are many other options not being considered that are proven to work much better than the way we do it now. I'm putting my high hopes of thermoconversion for now. I would just be happy as a peach if someone made a thing that works as well as this one claims. Magnetism and Gravity are some funny stuff and it wouldn't shock me to learn that some part of the equation were left out of present formulas.
Who knows.... it just seems too good to be true right now.
Tesla wanted to try using the planet itself as a battery. North and South poles spinning around a magnetic axis. Sounds like it should work if you could build the grid. Greed only exists because of the ignorance of the exploited. We are all rich if only we can learn to recognize.I'm no expert on Tesla, but I heard we could have had very cheap or free energy way back in his day. Pity there's greed.
Thats because it is.
I can't remember the name of the company(it's killing me because I'm trying to think of what the hell the name was), but once I followed the news about this company as it had upcoming demonstrations of its energy device. There were some vague timeslots of when this was to occur.
I followed the news and there were some press releases and so forth. Finally a time came where it ended with a demonstration. First there were some apparent problems "firing up" the device. Then after several days of glitches there was some breakdown that happened that couldn't be rectified at the location. The demonstration was over with, with nothing to show. But the company said it would be back after the problem was fixed. I never saw anything from them again.
Thats an absurdly fragmented recollection by me of the events I remember. Point being that it was a drawn out timeline that ended with nothing gained. After all the months and months and perhaps years, nothing. I'll have to really jog my memory to try and remember the company so I can get the story straight.
But Gareth, you're right. If it can be demonstrated, then let some people in your laboratory or whatever and verify it TODAY. Grab a handful of scientists and verify it for everyone. We need it NOW.
You're thinking Stearn.
They made a big stink by posting an ad in the Economist. Their validation process was supposed to be over a year ago. The company is still around but no technology to display and they've been pretty silent after the whole demonstration fiasco.
