take it in context: The internet has provided an avenue for total chaos, and is very difficult to detect its many doors and roads used to cause confusion and damage.

He is completely correct in that it would have been better, in consideration of terrorism in all its forms, that it not have been invented.

BUT - you could have said the same about telephones, faxes, digital cameras, photocopiers and laser printers! Any major or minor advancement in technology can be put to use on behalf of the bad guys.

Taken historically, though, I think technological advancements the general public enjoys, have more weight on the advantage side than the disadvantage side. Except for the a-bomb, not sure about that one yet....

lol ,yes its definitely not finished yet.......................

i love it, it allows for the exchange of ideas accross the whole planet in a way thats very significant for the next step in our social evolution.

i remember when the library was the largest node of data available, the amount of information now available at the click of a button is staggering, and of course as we speak the great librarys are being digitised page by page, microfiche by microfiche.

its not unusual to come across a word you dont or only partially understand when reading a book, but no book ever allowed you to simply look up that word on the fly.

having said that in WW2, we were told not to keep a diary and that loose lips sink ships, now the diarys are mostly online and open for all to see.................

And you can bet your sweet bippy somebody in charge didn't want mass libraries available to the hoi polloi, I mean, after all, if everybody could read, then sooner or later they would demand to vote - who knows what carnage that will lead to if everybody were allowed to vote...

well, I was aiming towards the masses demanding to be allowed the right to read... so they could vote responsibly and take part in social issues, and just learn things...
it didn't really take off, did it?

that is part of my point, but most of us can read, and look where it got us? have we used that skill to figure out who to vote for, what the issues are?

At least the illiterate have a partial excuse if they don't vote.

They're the biggest pieces of shit on the planet, and yet they think that we the little people should be pared down to 1/100th of the current population.

Let's put the human population into a perspective that you and others can understand.

There are over 6 Billion people in the world.

You can put every one of them in the state of Texas.

There is plenty of room, and resources for all of humanity to exist peacefully, and never go hungry.

The fact that there are people thinking that we need to cull the herd through genetics, wars, and of course bio-weapons targeting the inconvenient many, makes the Nazis look like altar boys.

The only real way for humanity to survive, and to thrive, is to push itself out beyond our world and into space. THAT, is the answer to the so called crowding problem.

It is time for those with common sense to start burying the ultra-left leaning limousine liberals in concrete, and casting them into the ocean.
