An open comment to Jeff & Jeremy

Folks,

I just got an email about a claim that I have posted some sort of derogatory note about Jeremy under an alias on the Paratopia forums. I am stating, for the record, that this is absolutely false, and I abhor the suggestion that I would do such a thing. When their forums got started, I posted a single message from a one "George Snoory", continuing a gag from the original Culture of Contact show, and I've posted one message up there under my name, making a comment about the McKenna episode, but otherwise, I've put absolutely nothing else up there. I deeply resent the implication that I would do such a thing, I'm certainly not the kind of person who has any problem saying what I think, under my actual name.

On another note, Jeff has emailed Gene, asking that his name be removed from being associated with this show, and I hope that Jeff is consistent by removing the reference to me from his bio page.

This is all very sad.

Do you speak for everyone Jeff? No, you don't. Let me know when everyone on the forum votes to have you be their representative. I actually have some relevance to this forum, as I've never done anything underhanded and duplicitous to those who run this forum, or the show. Can you say the same?

Listen, I don't agree with the idea that Jeff is not an important part of the field of UFO study, I think he's a very key person, and I have been proud to be associated with him on studying the images we've had the opportunity to work on together. I know that it's no secret that I have problems with his association with Vaeni, but I'm not willing to lump Jeff into the same box I think Vaeni belongs in. Jeff is indeed important to the field, Vaeni, on the other hand, has little to no relevance, and I think that Jeremy has derived benefit from his association with Jeff, he needs to create some credibility for himself by attaching himself to Jeff. This situation frustrates me, but I'm unwilling to play along with what I feel are underhanded attempts to drive a wedge between me & Jeff.

We had this discussion this morning. I think Jeff has some relevance, but his relevance is only proportionate to what he does with it, and who he associates himself with. Vaeni is a fraud. He's an absolute fraud in my mind, and he has some other issues that are patently obvious to ANYONE with an ear, or a pair of eyes. It's unfortunate that Mr. Ritzmann has aligned himself with someone who is not only destructive to others, but can be easily marginalized.

I think Mr. Ritzmann shouldn't have thrown away your friendship so he could be the sidekick on a ridiculous forum and podcast that serves no purpose other than to make UFO research into entertainment, as opposed to a phenomena worthy of real scrutiny and investigation.

I curious, Tommy have you actually listened to their podcasts? You may not like the humor used ( a subjective judgment of course ), but the guest they interview have been fantastic. Jeffs and Jeremy attempt to probe outside the 'UFO field' into areas as diverse as sociology, ethnobiology, 'hard' science, psychology etc are far from treating the phenomena as a 'joke'.

In fact the show complaints the paracast greatly as two methods to inquire into this murky field, which makes the recent 'trouble' even more sad and hopefully it can be resolved amicably.

I'll stay out of all the personality sniping because frankly it dose not interest me, and continue to thank all the hosts, of both shows, for all the great work done. Which at the end of the day is what is important to us, the plebs ,listening.
