April 28, 2013 — Gene and Chris Talk Shop with Goggs Mackay

Hi,
That was a very enjoyable Paracast show. IMHO the dynamic was really enhanced by having Goggs along as a counterpoint. Goggs is knowledgable about the subject (obviously), but by asking the odd lay man's question, he opened up the discussion and you got to cover a lot of wide ranging info at a good pace and in a different kind of way.

I appreciate the thumbs up. I listened to the show a couple of hours ago and I tried to imagine that I was not involved and listen to the show as if it was someone else. I genuinely think it was a decent Paracast episode and I liked where it went, what was covered.

I must apologise for any bumpy mic noises or heavy breathing - I still hadn't got a decent mic and the one I used, although sounding better than my old headphone/mic combo, was hand-held the whole episode - it's really hard to keep it in place and not move about for the whole time, especially when you are in the middle of a good discussion.
I have a new desktop-placed decent quality mic for future use. So please forgive annoying noises, they were all because of me!

I'm Listening to the show and gogg's recollection of his childhood event...before he was rudely interrupted by gene's book...had me wondering why is it whenever a phenomena disappears around a corner or one turns around or averts or closes their eyes the phenomena vanishes. You hear a LOT of this especially in bedroom invasions it seems.

Who knows but that is very true. Like a lot of paranormal events, it's like 'it' likes to play with us?
Mulder, you don't half have some freeeeky avatars!:D

My birthday is Halloween so I have an affinity for this type stuff.

I brought back my first paracast avatar. It's a sock puppet which i used for awhile because I was initially accused of being Don's sock puppet. This time I jazzed it up a bit. I do tend to lean toward the creepy, morbid and gothic.

We had the original "He Who Shall Not Be Named" featuring the same follower of the "one-armed" contactee. And we talked about that character on additional episodes. That counts, right?

This in itself is probably a leap but I've sometimes considered that if a UFO is all lit up like a Christmas tree it's probably meant to be seen and in that case could be argued it was our technology meant to get people to think ET.

Is this the first time two episodes were dedicated--in part--to the same person?

I'd view it more as Blake was the guest on one show, and the following episode was a talk shop episode that happened to follow the Blake episode - considering the amount of discussion of the Blake episode in the forum, it was natural that his episode be covered as much in the talk shop episode. Does that make sense?
Gene is the final word however, this is just how it seems to myself.

Well, it's a sure thing the TWSNBN will not return unless or until they are ready to apologize for promoting and/or engaging in hoaxes.

If I understand you correctly Mulder, for a time someone or several people thought you were Don Ecker, using a sock-puppet account? When was this and can you tell me who was thinking that way? Did don himself have any input to all this? It's a crazy assumption in that Don is the last person who would feel it necessary to hide himself behind anything to speak his mind! Not a chance in hell would Don do that, of all people!:)

I thought Chris's and Gogg's "profile" on Greer was spot on...at least from what I've read...I never met him.
