April 28, 2013 — Gene and Chris Talk Shop with Goggs Mackay

Free episodes:

I just finished listening, great episode!

Goggs was awesome - again! He is an asset to these discussions and it's great hearing some of his questions and comments! I found the personal story very interesting (and creepy). Thanks Goggs for taking the time to be on and thanks to Gene and Chris for giving him that opportunity.

I also liked that this episode focused on (in part) recent topics and conversations rather than introducing another guest. I think there are some topics/episodes that could benefit from a little extra fleshing out like you seemed to do here. Despite any negativity felt from last episode, this turned into a positive because it led to a discussion on UFO reporting standards and education in that area among other things.

All in all another intriguing episode! :)

I enjoyed the show, I would also like to see Goggs stay on. Gene and Chris are SO full of historical knowledge they sometimes talk above the heads of the laymen like me. Goggs brings the show balance IMHO.

Just please no more Southerner impressions. I am from south, but I never drink beer on my porch. For the record I also wear shoes daily and never had sexual relations with my sister.

Again great show guys keep it up.

Well, Chris and I live in the southwest, and my first wife came from Alabama, so I know the south.

As to Goggs, as someone said in a famous motion picture long, long ago, he will be back. :)

Awsome show! Very well done!
A final question to you guys concerning 3rd phase I can any of you get a hold of royce myers 3rd and try to counther the 3rd phase BS...

Just listened to the show thought it was good a lot of good points getting discussed guys especially Goggs a thought near the end of the show when he was telling his family/friends about the ufo subject they didn't want to know even with all information from FOI files, air pilots sightings etc... I've been in the same situation many of times they just sort of laugh at you it's as if they don't want to accept it because I think this subject still scares the s*** out of a lot of people. Maybe that's why they'll not be a disclosure anytime soon. Just saying people.

Who knows but that is very true. Like a lot of paranormal events, it's like 'it' likes to play with us?

OR maybe there are rules here as well. Not unlike the "rules" about how vampires and black eyed kids have to be invited into your domain and there is some type of implicit aggreement into allowing your body to be possessed in alleged possession cases, maybe one has to actively ( or passively ) be engaged with a paranormal entity to allow it to exist or mature (like a tulpa)

By ignoring it or hiding from it or trying to cast it out via prayer is basically saying " o.k. we're done here, move along now".

Yeah, I've wondered about that - this invitation being required for entry into a house. Of all the paranormal stuff floating about just now, I confess the black eyed kids is the one I believe in least, if that is even a good way to put it. And then there is the idea that the more you engage/research the paranormal, the more it engages you.

I've often wondered if say our own Lance Moody was encamped up at the skinwalker ranch, would anything weird have happened?

That's a good point. I've stayed in "haunted houses" when I used to believe in ghosts, and after. I was terrified when I had the belief, thinking I saw things or heard things. Once I lost that belief, I wasn't scared and didn't notice anything strange.

I do have to say that I think there probably was indeed a lot of weird stuff going on there. I find it hard to think a billionaire businessman would buy the place and install scientists, then security all this time if nothing was happening.
But the Lance comment holds, perhaps even because if there is really some fiendish intelligence, it avoids sceptical thinkers as it thinks they will find any explanation rather than paranormal for whatever happens. Bigfoot= man in suit. Poltergeist= someone playing clever tricks and on and on. Still, I'd love if it had happened for real.
Missed you at the show - when it comes a-callin again, you gotta move mountains man.:D

Yeah, I wish I could have been there - maybe Chris would have been a little nicer to me and know that when I talk, I really don't sound like that impression he did of me :)
Regardless, I like these types of episodes quite a bit and it was a really interesting talk. Maybe Chris will have some stuff from Ray to present soon.

Thanks for the condescending answer Chris - sounds like someone is angry. Chill dude. Don't be a douchebag.

I was just asking a question, no need to attack me.
I came here to bring this up. The kind of attitude that Chris answered that question with is doing a disservice to the field. If there are so many good dashboard cam videos out there, it is NOT common knowledge. If you want people to take it seriously, don't act like you're being attacked when someone asks, just say that they exist, and post some examples on the forum.

In a somewhat related manner I am somewhat fascinated with the idea of memes. More so than the black eyed kids, I question the whole slender man thing sightings. of all paranormal phenomena, that is one concept whose genesis can easily be ascertained as an intentional "hoax"...i don't think that is the right word though...and I have no doubt some people truly think they've actually seen it. Have you ever checked out Ever Dream This Man? this site was another source for one of my earlier avatars.

Having said that the reason why I am less sceptical of BEK's is I constantly dreamt of a black eyed little girl when I was a kid living at home.this was well before the ring movies or internet stories and as I wrote about in the personal experiences thread apparently this little girl appeared before my niece's husband a few years ago when they were staying in my old room (before my imminent arrival) and made him feel unwelcome

My bad Southerner accent is actually me copying a real Texan girl(friend) who used to do that accent about 'drinkin beer on my porch' - so blame her!
And the car salesman, well he has a website, and here he is in an advert, watch til the end (although he forces this one a bit, it's still a classic - in my eyes anyway)

YEE HAW!

Was it just me or did that guy sound angry at the end?
