Bassett did accomplish something so stop complaining

Free episodes:

He did get alot of press coverage today in Washington Press Club with credible people at the press conference so please people stop sitting on your hands behind a computer and complaining about others who get off their rear and take action.

The Georgia boys with their bigfoot hoax got a lot of press too.

I think people "complain" because they think Basset could be and do better.

If good comes from what he was part of, good. I don't expect much though.

You seem to be complaining about complaining btw and sitting behind your computer.

I signed Basset's petition a long time ago btw.

Give Zandroid a break. He's obviously a ten year old, exactly the type of person I'd expect to see defending Basset. Along with dumbasses who cannot realize that putting charlatans on the same stage as credible people discredits the latter, although all of the parties certainly share some responsibility. Why do the so-called credible researchers attend the X-Conference, anyway? And who spoke at the X-Con this year who has credibility? Please do not tell me Dr. Mitchell.

I'm sorry, but what has Bassett accomplished?? He assembled some people to talk about UFO's. But what does this accomplish other than bad publicity and repetitive preaching to the choir?? What good does it do in terms of coming to some truth to the UFO question??

And yes, I'm typing this from my computer, so no need to say I'm not doing anything to reveal the truth behind UFO's because I'm not.

I remember attending the X Conference a couple years ago and reading and watching the short article and video that Dana Milbank did for the Washington Post on the conference.

Essentially, the coverage included both Alfred Webre yelling at the national press club about the 'Ethical High Dimensional Beings and a Galactic Order' and then Robert Salas talking about his very real incident at the Nuke silo.

I specifically remember Basset at the conference saying he was happy for the coverage which obviously made a total joke of the whole thing and combined a real guy with crazy talk.

Just to do something for the sake of doing something which generates publicity is not the same as being productive and making progress towards a particular cause. It's easy to argue that this type of lazy mixing of crazy with credible has very much hurt the cause of getting this taken seriously in the mainstream, so it has actually gone against the initial goal so is worse than doing nothing and sitting behind a computer.

This doesn't mean Steve's intentions are evil or wrong and his heart isn't in the right place and he doesn't work very hard to do what he thinks is the right way to do things (I think he does!), it just means his methods leave much to be desired and based on his reaction to criticisms on the paracast, he doesn't seem to want to improve his methods either, he is happy to fart in the pool water :)
