worst bands well.........

No forget it the list would be way to long.

Top 3 are in order, but the rest are kind of jumbled.

Really I just like well written songs...there's too many artists for me to name that have had amazingly well written songs that have stayed with me.

1: Pink Floyd
2: Led Zeppelin
3: Early Metallica (anything with Cliff Burton)
4: ACDC
5: Randy Rhoads (not a group but very influential)
6: Simon & Garfunkel
7: Judas Priest
8: Iron Maiden
9: Jim Croce
10: Bob Dylan
11: Neil Young
12: The Cure

ah Fugazi now that takes me back to some great gigs.
Nice to see Floyd on the list man.. I work as a guitar player for a "Pink Floyd Project" hell of a lot of fun but hard work to

Ohhh..... some good names up there but I'd like to add a few (in no particular order)

Husker Du/ Faith No More/ Pearl Jam/ Radiohead/ Leatherface/ Rollins Band/ Manic Street Preachers

Nice to see Alice In Chains and Tool in there.

As for the worst... Red Hot Chili Peppers/ I think John Lennon lost the plot abit as well.... Metallica during the period between the Black Album and St Anger though I think they're still trying to regain their former glory.....

Floyd taught me an important lesson on how to make a guitar cry. (The leads on Comfortably Numb and Hey You, in particular.)

Iron Maiden
Megadeth
Metallica (pre-Black album)
Black Sabbath
Dio
Judas Priest
Slayer
Pink Floyd
Rolling Stones
AC/DC
Motorhead
Helloween
Metal Church
Sepultura
Scorpions

Worst:
Insane Clown Posse, Simple Plan, New Metallica...

Well, if you're just limiting it to "Rock" bands I'd have to say my favorite is Zeppelin. I like a lot of different music that wouldn't fall into the "rock" genre. I'd also add in addition to ones already mentioned Santana, Allman Brothers, Black Crowes, The Grateful Dead, and Eric Clapton to name a few more.

But the absolute worst rock band right now, .... Nickelback, .... just my opinion, but the guy always "sings" like he's trying hard to take a dump or something. Terrible.

Zeppelin is my all time fav. Worst? Good lord, that's like asking me who's the biggest liar in politics or religion. Tons of music I hate. The OP's name reminded me of one of them though, Hootie and the Blowfish. Oasis sucks too. I better stop, or I'll be here the rest of the month typing.

Too many to list on either side but how about this...

One of the best - Genesis with Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett

One of the worst - Genesis without Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett

1. pavement. don't know who they are? they have two records in rolling stones top 500 records of all time.
worst band? easy. bare naked ladies.

for opened minded guys you have pretty standard musical tastes.

so no one is into sonic youth huh?

Yeah I was ... about 20 years ago :D and that only seems like yesterday. Did anyone see a certain couple from Sonic Youth on the Gilmore Girls a few years back. God that must have upped their cool status. But remember folks that Sparks were on that too ... and Yo La Tengo ... and others I might have missed. Really cool episode:)

Oh and as for Led Zep ... phwahhh hah haa haa ... what a bunch of poseurs :D

Best and worst rock band?? Only one answer to that paranormal dudes: Wyld Stallyns
