OK ... now I'm doubly confused. About a week ago, I contributed to a thread started by Frank Warren regarding Bill Knell, and posted a number of things I had found on the internet including a couple of websites still being run by Bill or his wife.

A couple of days later that thread disappeared ... and I know I'm not going mad (no froth or anything eminating from my mouth) ... and now another thread started by Frank Warren appears. WTF

Anyway, Frank, if you want any more regarding the other Bill Knell websites I've come across, let me know, and I'll post the URLs here or to any place of your choosing.

Hasn't Bill Knell been sued and stuff, and hasn't paid everyone all the money that he owed them? I guess what I'm trying to figure out is what this guy was doing, outside of the dog thing where he was victimizing people.

If they guy is just a douchebag, the word will already be out there. If the guy is continuing his theft of people's money, then by all means the prick should be hammered for it. I didn't see anything that said give me your money or else on his site.

If he's selling books or bullshit, he's no more guilty than 99 percent of the other frauds in this business.

Au contraire ! Methinks some of those are in fact bogus as well. We had someone "in the business peruse" the DVD page today; he did remove a few dozen that were blatant forgeries since this all came to light though.

I realize that you have it in for Bill, but what is he doing on his website that's illegal? He's offering his services as a writer, and selling DVD's and books?

I realize that the guy is probably an assclown, but if he's not commiting fraud on his website, or asking for something that he doesn't deserve, he's not committing any crimes that I can see.

From what I can tell, the guy has a right to offer his services to anyone who is willing to pay him. Caveat Emptor aside, telling someone that a man is a thief and a liar, when you've not done business with him, or if you're relaying third party knowledge is akin to slander, or libel.

I'm not defending Bill Knell, That would be pretty dumb, but all I can see on his website, is the same shit that I see every other wannabe UFOlogist has. Buy my shit, Pay attention to me! I have all the answers.

Again, I don't know anything about Bill Knell, but I know how idle speculation can destroy a person's reputation. The internet is a big place, and lots of people see things. There are plenty of organizations that factor out the Bill Knell's of the world.

I don't think it should be the mission of the paracast to turn into the Better Business Bureau.

I had no idea that he was that much of a prick. With that said, I hadn't planned on buying anything of his, or doing business with him anyway.

I still think it's more important to focus on the important things, rather than waste energy on the Bill Knells of the world. By drawing attention to the guy, it gives him some kind of legitimacy. Let the courts take care of him, that's what they're there for.

Tommy, go to the Dec 28 08 episode of the Paracast and start there; this guy isn't just someone whose strayed over the line a time or two--he's a career criminal who leaves countless victims in his wake. "He is" committing fraud on his web-site(s)! He has committed fraud on "every web-site he's ever had!"

I became aware of Bill Knell's nefarious activities because he plagiarized an article we published for Angelia Joiner; after catching him red-handed we only asked that he give credit where credit was due; rather then do that that he lied! He tried to tell me that he had permission to do what he did! There were two people who could grant such permission, and that was myself, "the publisher, and Angelia the author--we were the one's "calling him on the carpet!" When I brought that to his attention, he then lied again! This is when I handled the situation as I do a UFO case, and began investigating him . . . to my surprise, I found that most of his bio was fraudulent, plagiarism has been part of his MO for decades, along with pirating DVDs and or VHS tapes etc., . . . and this is just to name a few of his dastardly deeds!

A few of us have been working with the authorities and they're aware of much of Knell's "ongoing activities" . . . this from the local Lebanon PD, to the FBI, who by the way was talked to today (again). He has been and is the focus of several state and federal agencies in regards to his crimes.

Many of Bill Knell's victims are friends of mine, or people I have a lot of respect for;moreover, since most of his pirating is within the realm of Ufology, his criminal activities give the entire field a bad name; consequently, I feel I have a personal stake in the matter. That said, even if that weren't the case, I still have a conscious, and if I can help by shedding light on his pathological behavior, it's a no-brainer for me.

Anything I've said about Bill Knell "I can prove in a court of law" . . . which by the way is where a good portion of the evidence lies; there are court records in every place he's resided, from Arizona to New York!

Here's a bit of irony: even though Knell had clearly "plagiarized Angelia's article" we were at the time willing to let it go, unaware of his criminal pathological behavior; had he just apologized and inserted an attribution, I personally would have been none the wiser.

Instead, he did what came/comes natural to him . . . a knee-jerk reaction if you will--he lied . . . then given another opportunity--he lied again . . . and even after that he lied a third time.

Since that time, I've educated myself on Mr. Knell; consequently his material and or associations have been removed from a number of web-sites, limiting his means to affect other victims.

The courts haven't taken care of him, which is part of the problem; he just moves and reinvents himself, which is the purpose of this "Bill Knell alert."

In my view, using the very tool "he uses to victimize people with," i.e., the internet, this, so far, seems to be the most effective method in stopping him.

Knell has been doing the same thing for decades; the complaints are the same in the different time periods only the faces of the victims have changed.

I have checked court records from every place he's lived from Indiana to Arizona to Florida and New York; there are civil and criminal complaints against him, as well as his wife and son in certain cases.

He has a methodology that hasn't deviated over the years; when things get to hot, he relocates and reinvents himself. This is the family business; it's very reminiscent of the bad element of Gypsies.

If this isn't the definition of "career criminal" . . . then what is?

I have to say, I'm very proud of the fact that The Paracast hung this guy out to dry, with Frank's help, especially because it came on the heels of a few other media appearances that Knell had done last year, where NOT ONE of the other shows took the time to even type his name in Google.

The guy is a slime, a crook, and he's now having a hard time doing his hurtful little deeds, which makes me feel like we've done something beyond just create mindless entertainment. It seems like we get heat for that, which is fine - when bad people don't like us, I sleep better at night.
