Burnt State
Paranormal Adept
I think we need to get past this silliness and focus on the issues.
All over this forum is the large lament of UFO seekers proclaiming their disenchantment with the field, with who is given a pass vs. who is delusional vs. who is after the cash. I know critical discussion is impossible with Cousins, and so these episodes are about only entertainment; the majority of the field of public investigation has to maintain some degree of entertainment or there are few listeners. Without hope of ET being real, or the mystery having an answer, dr. abbadon, there can be no Realllly Bigg Sheowww! But what's at the heart of the disenchantment, as the good dr. points out, is the lack of clarity in the signal that is being defined. Standards seem to shift according to whatever degree of credit is being acclaimed for the guest. Some find that to be part of the noise issue.
Gene didn't strike me as some jaded old man regretting a life spent in vain, and Chris didn't appear too much like "the gatekeeper of all UFO knowledge," but Blake came off as a hoaxer in his verbal responses, imho. I sort of imagined him thinking: "Yeah, that's the ticket! I'll take Chris up on that offer and we'll get some really dynamite clips up nobody will ever be able to debunk! I'll use his warning list of things to look for in hoaxes to make sure our NEXT hoax passes with flying colors!" But I have a suspicious mind, I guess.
Regarding Canada's new currency, all your debase are belong to us, eh? Probably someone put cornstarch in the new bills so they would "biodegrade" or something! Great idea. Keep Canada green. And cashless.
I thought that even putting this guy on the show in the first place is just like putting exta whip cream on a cake with too much icing. I don't see why he should even get air time. As Gene said about Greer, or Gre'r or whatever, why bother giving them attention in the first place? Better to take on serious researchers, imaginative thinkers and historical figures from the field to get closer to the issue in the dirt place.
As for the fantasy of a green Canada I can only say I need my Canuck money intact in its new non-biodegradable plastic form so I can pay for the greening of my yard into small forest. Besides we need to keep pumping our high test oil, natural gas and hydro into America's main veins and backyards. If we don't then the big boys with big toys and big corps. won't be happy, and then there would be hell to pay.
